Hi all I'm new here and looking for some advice. I'm 24 and a beginner work shift work which don't help but I'm looking to train and eventually compete I need to lose weight tho looking for advice to get my fitness better and lose weight I'm starting to get on top of my diet improving it on a daily basis Any help is welcomed thanks
Join a reputable ABC in your area. Don't get fit to join, join and get fit. You'll achieve more fitness wise in there whilst learning the techniques at the same time. I work shifts as well and know how draining they are. Just got to force yourself to get out and do it. I'm 23 and have the same goals as you by the way so I wish you well.
Get your diet sorted, it's 90% of the battle. As someone already said, just join a gym and start training to actually burn the fat and increase your fitness levels.
Yea that's the problem at the minute I'm working shift work where I know on a daily basis what I'm doing so I can't plan anything and can't garentee I will be at the sessions (I'm looking for a new job lol) at the min I'm running, doing interval training aswell just wondered if people could suggest anything or is what I'm doing ok
Interval is definitely a good way to lose weight and improve cardio fitness. Make sure you don't overdo it at the start because you'll risk injury though. I'd recommend downloading insanity or similar programme because it only takes an hour tops and can be done whenever you get time which is obviously good because of your job.
