I'm currently sitting at 87kgs and need to make 81kgs. The bout is in 33 days. The weigh in is in the morning for a night time card. I would like to do it without dehydrating to much! I am 6 ft tall and I 'm probably sat around 16-17% bf. I have Been down to 75 before however this was two years ago and had to dehydrate for the last 4 pound and it killed me!! Any advice or tips on getting that weight off?

Also, current diet consists of breakfast: porridge lunch: 3 egg omelet dinner: chicken or fish with brown rice and broccli . For a snack I will have a low carb protein shake, a bannana and apple

your diet looks good. try doubling up on the cardio to burn off more weight. I've always heard one ounce of water per pound of bodyweight you carry.

You need to eat more and mix it up a bit as well.
    Sounds really monotonous.

It's very simple. You need to maintain a calorie deficit to lose weight, which you haven't been doing. That means you've become used to eating too much. You need to eat less.

The very best boxers don't need to dehydrate to make weight. Their walk around weight is no more than a few pounds over their fighting weight.

I know you're part joshing, because of course there's no way you can know if he's eating too little without knowing his calorie balance. The fact that he weighs more than he wants to means he needs to eat less.

Dropping the protein shake would be a step in the right direction. Unnecessary protein overload and calorific. Nail the diet and there won't be any need at all to dehydrate to make weight.

The guy weighs 87kg. What he stated he eats would barely cover his BMR let alone somebody that trains.

If I had a buck for every fat girl that "only eats salad" I would've retired ten years ago. :good

Appreciate the advice. Good points from everyone. Going to carry on eating what I'm eating, weigh my self after another week and see where im up to. Been boxing training every evening and light hour of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach either cross trainer, bike or jogging and feeling good! Any man, I realise what you are saying about the 'very best' walking around near their fighting weight however I don't claim to be carl froch and it is only amateur.

I didn't include Carl Froch in the very best, but I hear ya.

Training on empty makes no difference to weight/fat loss, and may inhibit top end performance, so no need to do it unless you feel like it.

But If you lose weight to near enough your fighting weight, you wont need to a) eat less to lose weight b) even contemplate any dehydrating techniques to lose weight.

Get to a weight you want/should be, eat well, train well, hydrate well and you will be strong at the weight. :good
