Keep it clean, come with a legitimate gameplan. His last gameplan was to cheat all the way to the end, be awkward and dirty as possible to put mayweather off his game. It worked well the first fight, but no ref is going to allow him to fight that way the next time around. His jab was doing him well, I say use it a lot more and use the overhand right without turning it into a rabbit punch.
Learn to punch straight. Or that famous punch called jab. Or to feint. Or to make something different than walking straight throwing sloppy slaps. Anyway it won't matter, because you'll get robbed again.
You guys think he'll be affected without Ariza? I personally don't think so but it is a variable that's for sure and any word on the glove situation?
When you jab, follow up. Also, throw high then low, Mayweather typically ducks after countering. And no low blows, tackles, knees, rabbit punches. Keep it clean.
Don't act happy just to be there !!! Train for 12 hard rounds! Keep him in the ropes with focused body punches. Learn how to cut off the ring. Learn how to set up with the jab... Learn how to place your footing to keep him from maneuvering! Damn...I just see a worst outcome than the 1st for Maidana!!!
The only way he's able to be in the fight is by fighting exactly the same way he did in the first fight. Maidana can't really afford any stylistic changes, not only because he can't but anything different could be his downfall going in to the rematch. One thing he needs to do in training camp is improve his stamina using any method possible. Maidana also needs to avoid taking Mayweather's body shots which wears him down quicker. Apart from those changes, he needs to fight exactly the same way only more aggressive/wild.
call up Zuniga to help him practice that Tiger Knee. Then lobby to have the world cup ref to ref his fight against Floyd so he can get away with it.
Pretty much, we all know the outcome. I'm happy for Maidana being able to secure (hopefully) his future.
