You've got to imagine Pashtuns would generally be tough *******s. They've been warring with anyone who fancies a piece for hundreds of years.

Pathans in my experience are generally nuts.

If you're taking too long handing over money for a taxi fare or your pizza they're looking like they want to kill you.

The next Carlos Monzon will be found in those parts I'm sure.

    :rofl:rofl

They often give that impression, and they can be short-tempered, but they're ok in general. Have a bit of chip on their shoulder at times, but they'll do you right if you're cool with them.

On a serious note the story of that young Afghan girl who trained to go to the olympics was pretty stirring stuff. Very brave girl.....:thumbsup

I smell an outdated racial stereotype there....

China tends to produce some of the largest Asians in the region comparable to anything in Europe.

I was once talking cricket with a taxi driver and said that Shahid Afridi was useless and a waste of space, and should bat at number 11.

Bloke wasn't happy. When I tried to explain how many games he'd cost them by slogging wildly he still wouldn't have it.

Daren't use that company again in case he decides to charge me about a grand into Leeds city centre.

I tend to find Punjab types are the most agreeable, Pathans are offended by everything!

I'm surprised no-one's tried to get pro boxing going in that part of the world. Even in India, you've all these people striving for a better life. They're developing a decent amateur system but the pro game just doesn't exist over there.

Yeah its usually the Vietnamese and Thai and other Indo-chinese that are the smaller people. Chinese are a bit bigger usually.

Speaking of finding tough people from obscure parts of the planet, are there any fighters from Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam worth their salt? Surely some tough Vietcong Characters from these parts? The Vietnamese have been fighting with every c*** since their history began.

UFC is tapping up India. MMA will be the sport of choice for India, Afghanistan and loads of Asian/Middle Eastern countries I bet (Singapore as well)

Oh yes, their beloved Afridi. Every Pathan friend of mine claims to be a cousin of his.

Unfortunately the Thai's batter 'em so no one breaks out and prospers.

But it does make you think, though. The talent pool in that part of the world could be ridiculously good if tapped.

I bet there's some absolute monsters just waiting to be let out to decimate in North Korea.
