Maybe, but it would amount to an all or nothing gamble first up, and one I just couldn't see him taking.

IMO Hoppa would beat Hall fairly confortably in a first up bout, but a few fights under Hall's belt might provide a different result.

Hall may very well beat Hoppa after he has had a handfull of bouts to get accustomed to the sport, however what would that mean anyway because even though Hoppa is the Australian Heavyweight Champion he is absolutely hopeless at boxing imo with zero skills. Hoppa is just a tough guy who can beat bums. I'm sorry but if Hall beats Hoppa after 5 or 6 fights then it means **** all.

Having not seen Hall fight, as long as he can stay out of harms way for three rounds he should break Hoppa down.

I've seen nothing from Hoppa to convince me he can fight effectively for more than three rounds.

I would pick Ben Edwards over Hoppa again tomorrow.Hell, I would pick a couple of HW guys I know to destroy Hoppa.

Hall vs Edwards - At some stage in the future that could be a beauty.

Fair enough but what do you honestly think. Do you think Hoppa has any talent as a boxer ? lets be brutally honest here, Hoppa has beaten no one but bums to date.

    Potentially a c r a c k e r - But this is total heresay and speculation at this point.

Sucker punch ko-ing a W-eagle when the W-eagle is looking at the ball and not the man isn't really the same as a fight.

I'm very interested to see if Barry can fight - But at this stage I have to admit that Hoppa has the experience over Barry.

Can I just say that at least for the Aussie forum - the word c r a c k e r has no racist connotation whatsoever...

The WCE king-hit on Staker was just a dirty low act, full stop, and I don't barrack for either team.

What people need to get their heads around though is that Hall has a boxing background and has sparred Danny Green. If Green hadn't seen something in Hall in the ring he wouldn't be making him offers or talking him up - so let's accept it's extremely likely that he can fight.

...whether he can beat Hoppa, or anyone with pro boxing ability, is yet to be seen though.

I saw Hall spar a few years ago and he looked pretty good. However as everyone knows sparring and fighting is very different and he was on the right side of 30 at the time as well. Even though alot of people are upset about Hall getting more publicity then Vic if you look on this board there are more people talking about Hall rather then Vic and this is a boxing forum so obviously in the general public AFL has many more fans so there is more interest in hall then Vic. the papers only report on matters people are interested here. The day I see 10 pages on a Vic fight and 2 replies on a Hall thread will be a first.
