    Davidson Andeh (Featherweight)
    Eddie Ndukwu (Featherweight)
    Ayub Kalule (Light Welterweight)
    Obisia Nwankpa (Light Welterweight)
    Amon Kotey (Welterweight)
    Mohammed Muroli (Welterweight)
    Josef Nsubuga (Light Middleweight)

All would have been favorites or near-favorites at the 1976 Olympics.

yeah, that was an educated guess. He was only 16 in 1976. Lost to Andres Aldama in the '80 Olympic final (I think).

I'm at a loss with that one. I was thinking John Munduga but he was after that time as well.

Al, It was........ 'Vitalis Bbegge'......... from Uganda.......

    Had 105 knock-out in 113 fights.
I don't think he ever turned professional in 1976.

He may have turned professional (in Europe, possibly Denmark in 1976, but may have only had a handful of bouts, no real success found)

He was the Silver Medalist at the Pre-Olympic Boxing Tournament, held in Montreal (November 27 thru December 1, 1975).
He had scored 4 knock-outs in a row, before losing a close decision in the
finals, at Welterweight (67 KG or 148 lbs.)

ABU had his record at 109-4 (105 KO's)

Interesting bit of info, do you know much about Olympic boxing, or the amateur game in general?

Just kept alot of boxing records from 60's thru the 70's.
I guess I could be considered Boxing Historian from that time.

It also helped living next to Burt Sugar, in Chappaqua, New York.

1972 Olympians,,, An under-rated group of boxers.

Sugar Ray Seales one my favorites, and Davey Armstrong too.

Another pretty good fighter, Graham Moughton (GBR), caught a bad draw in the Olympics.

Looks like George Turpin was only a few punches away from making it the Finals.
