Sorry guys, but I think BH comes out strong for only three maybe four rounds and then it's over. He really looks old. He was throwing one punch at a time, moving slow and predictable and just seems to lack the necessary explosiveness and quickness to get to JC. This fight won't be very competitive. Oh well, it will be a good retirement check and a heck of a way to go.

He threw more against Wright than against Tarver, more against Tarver than JT2 and more against JT2 than JT1.

hopkins punch out put has improved each time over his last four fights so I dont think the age argument is that valid.

Dude, Hopkins looks old and tired. Calzaghe looks like a great white shark that's just checking out his next meal prior to killing it.

I know this. However, I don't think the time machine will work this time. He looks old, and will start to fight old after the 3rd round.

Hopkins is old but I don't think he's tired. He's hardly been in the wars and has barely eaten a clean hard punch in go knows how long. He's a gymrat and always in shape. Sure, he's ancient for a boxer but I don't think he's THAT old and tired.

(like the great white shark analogy though!)

I don't give a **** who you're rooting for. This should be a tough fight for both men.

Man, what the **** does Carol Vorderman know about boxing?
Don't let her influence you on this fight.

Hopkins has never been a guy that threw alot of punches, so dont be fooled.

"Respected" or "distinguished" columnist Doug Fischer watched Hopkins train for 90 minutes last Thursday and he changed his pick to Hopkins. My guess is because he thought Hopkins "looked very old".

Put your money on your boy. It should be safe after all Hopkins wants the odds to increase against him.
I don't believe Hopkins intentionally might have made himself look slower for TV.

Well I agree in the sense that it won't work this time because of the nature of who he is up against. Hopkins handled a fat Wright without too many problems and a slow big Tarver. Calzaghe is a different monster granted.

Remember when Hopkins bet $100,000 on himself in the Tito fight? What a confident SOB.

Yeah, good move by him. I wonder how much money he has down on himself for this fight though...

Exactly, Calzaghe fights like a kid with hyperactive active-attention deficit disorder on crack. And he does that for 12 rounds at a time. Hopkins has never fought someone with that kind of lunacy. I say lunacy beacuse let's face it, Calzaghe is crazy. He fights with no fear or respect and is the only fighter I've never heard someone say "let your hands go" to. I'm not a fan of his crazy style, but it wins. If Hopkins tries to match him punch for punch early out of frustration, he will fade rapidly after the 3rd round. Just watch.
