Most fair assessment. From my POV, Pacquaio is really the naive, fight anyone type of guy, where as Floyd is more involved in the business and understands the inner workings, and picks his spots. It seems as though Pacquiao the boxer shows no resistance to fighting anyone, while Pacquiao the business has been apprehensive, while Floyd the boxer and business have not been too eager.

this is low by pac's standard.

but it was a seed fight. arum\s plan is to open up china and energize the chinese fan base, in the process sacrificing pac's numbers for now.

2014-15, we will see if arum's plan will take hold.

He is definitely trying to tap into the vast potential of the Chinese market, but his timing seems poor with what's potentially at stake, and the fact that this was a perceived PPV flop coming on the heels of Mayweather's lucrative September endeavor.

this is what's wrong with boxing and boxing fans. now the fans want to play the promoters. fack the legacy fights.

fans want to see the best fight the best.

pac is a part time boxer. his interests outside of boxing doent need explanation other he has no time nor interest to play a promoter. that is konz's and arum's job.

hell, he will be in the states soon to raise funds for the victims of recent typhoons.

    they have different make up.

pac fights to fund his so called calling so he is open to fighting anyone.

floyd is into more getting the most money in the process shitting his own legacy.

    different strokes for different folks.

What about my observation, is what's wrong with boxing fans? An observation is just an observation. In case you weren't able to comprehend my post, I said Pacquiao(the boxer), is willing to fight all comers, while the Pacquiao business(Arum and company) are not.

Also, try to see the irony of your post, it's funny!

even with this, i don't think pac will take less than 60/40.

he just came off of a ko loss, not a big name opponent, no big fight promotion, no undercard support, lack of media coverage...all these factored on the u s ppv count.

he being arum or pac? i assume arum.

arum said they had structured the fight in macau where the venetian took the bulk of the expenses, sort of like arum has a break even deal with them.

he said that if the fight does well in the ppv, some of those go to the venetian.

ive read arum quoted that amount spent was in vicinity of 30m for the whole card, the whole event.

if venetian took care of that, then he isnt really in a bad position.

he is bringing shiming in vegas, so we will see how that affects the next ppv buys. sort of a canelo on the undercard with the mexicans.

edit: to be honest, im glad that one of them gets a low ppv buys, even if it is pac. the more they tank in market, the more pressure of giving to one's demand. it is just a split. fans wont get any of these money. they are paid enough regardless.

if mayweather-khan tanks in the boxoffice then we will be as close as we can get to the pac-mayweather fight.

then all this posturing about who is the best in the era finally ends.

Are you admitting it was yet another SH*TTY Pac event!? OK, now we're getting somewhere. Given that we've established that AND Guerrero had better PPV numbers, then Pac deserves no more than Guerrero. :D Guerrero's dad was more entertaining than the Pacquiao fight.

It is so obvious that Void fans do not want him to fight Pac, because they are afraid that Pac will knock Void out. Void is afraid of Pac, check out what Void, Sr. said after Pac stopped Cotto.................

There's that word afraid again. A fan afraid of seeing a boxer fight another boxer? First it was Floyd is afraid of Pac. Now it's Floyd's fans afraid of seeing Floyd fight Pac. WHAT NECKS!? Floyd's fan's aunt's son afraid of Floyd fighting Pac? :blabla

Does applying the word afraid to another person make you more of a keyboard warrior? I seem to get that vibe from you.

*******s are delusional. Pac gets schooled in JMM-Pac 3 in a fight the casuals even shook their head at, loses to Bradley, and gets KTFO by JMM, and they still somehow expect the casuals to rate Pacquiao up at the top and continue to shell out 70 bucks to watch him fight punching bags. :nut:nut
