it's because Hopkin's expects Floyd to show a level Floyd hasn't shown in years. The Floyd Hopkins is talking about didm;t show against maiden yet Bernard expects this version of Floyd to show up against a more lite fighter; in fact, a much better fighter.

we have to go back to 2007 to see a Floyd mayweather that many think will show up against Pacquiao. I'm talking about the fight against Hatton where Mayweather totally dominated and won by TKO in 10th round. This is what a lot of Floyd fans think will happen - domination and TKO late in the fight. I mean, it sounds great, but what has Floyd shown since the Hatton fight (8 years ago) to make us think he will dominate Pacquiao and possibly TKO him? He never hurt his last 8 opponents and i think the Maidana fight is very telling - Floyd struggled against a non-elite fighter; Pacquiao is an elite fighter. I think Floyd has declined more than Pac, Pac looked pretty good against Bradley and Algieri... Floyd, not so much against Maidana and Bradley >>>>>> Maidana.

No, Hop expects Floyd to be Floyd. Pac won't hold and hit like Hatton, Pac won't come forward like Maidana, Floyd is s better fighter and harder puncher than Bradley and Algeri. Pac can't beat Floyd lol...

Wasn't it Floyd who looked vulnerable in his last two fights?

Funny, as soon as everyone sees that the fight is made immediately.

pac doesn't come forward? have you ever seen Pacquiao fight? doesn't look like it

If Floyd is a harder puncher than Bradley, he sure hasn't shown it in last 8 years...

I think Floyd fans are totally ignoring what Pacquiao can do and putting too much weight on the JMM KO. In the end this is great, Pacquiao is at his most brutal self when he's the underdog. They said ODLH was too big and Pac beat him to submission; they said Cotto was too big and Pac destroyed him... now i'm hearing the same about Floyd.. can't wait for the fight.

To mention a thin dlh and a 145 lb Cotto as evidence of anything is beyond convoluted thinking lol...

Highly doubt it. Pacquiao was never target practice for anyone throughout his entire career. Sure, Mayweather is an opponent Pacquiao never faced before, but so is Pacquiao to Mayweather. Whoever wins this one, it will be close. I'll be genuinely shocked is someone wins it clearly.

Thin or not, Pacquiao was a 3 to 1 underdog going into the DLH fight with barely anyone giving him a chance. It's very easy and quite pathetic to pretend like you knew all along now that the fight is history. As far as Cotto is concerned, 145lbs or not, Pacquiao's style would've always been tough for Cotto to handle. Too much speed, stamina, power and pressure.

So you're saying that everyone back then picked Dlh to beat Pac??? Are you ****en kidding me!!!???

Anyone with common sense knew that when the fight was announced Dlh would be dead at the weight foh. That **** didn't fool anyone so stop with the semantics and foolery.

Yeah, well we aren't talking about a thin Floyd coming back down to ww in 8 years, or a 145 lb a Floyd. You're talking about Floyd Mayweather and I don't expect this fight to be the fight everyone thinks it might be. Early yeah, and then Floyd becomes Floyd.
