Watching the fight, I thought the problem for Parker was Joshua beeing very solidly throwing with power when he tried to come in. He did not let Parker getting in without paying him. Plus he fought cautious boxing on points with his raech, instead of beeing as aggressive as he used to be.
He did not give Parker the chance to catch him in a brawl.

You think it was an easy task that night to get behind that raech of AJ without getting bombed into the face?

I agree with the rest, and I think Parker could fight a bit more risky. But thats not easy against a guy with that sort of power and raech.

What about Ruiz? Parker fought incredibly dissappointing against him too. We know he has the chin. We know he has the agility and good power.
A guy with a championship mentality will risk getting knocked out himself in order to pull out a win.
I didn't see Parker fighting like a madman in the last round to win the HW title did you?

I didn´t watch the Ruiz fight. But yes, Parker maybe was a little offensively hyped anyway. He´ll might adept against White, who´s not fighting as tight as AJ.
I´m not building a ATG in Parker here, I saw Joshua improve in therms of what he also called "boxing finesse" that fight. For me, he showed to be an adverse fighter that night, were most folks were marking him as powerhouse without gas. He left Parker pretty chanceless with imho the correct gameplan to do so.
Thats why I see him becoming an ATG, using different tricks out of his box.
Or to compare it with boxing history: I don´t see him losing in a Foreman-Young scenario while trying to adept his weaknesses.

Andre Ward beating Arthur Abraham for me. Some will contest his atg status, but he's undefeated with titles in two weight divisions and arguably GOAT 168 lbs. In the Abraham fight he showed he could beat a world class opponent even while he was clearly having an Off Night.

When Roman Gonzalez beat Niida I immediately knew he was going to be special. Niida had two seperate reigns at 105 and was arguably second greatest at 105 behind Finito. But Gonzalez came in and started dialing in power punches within 15 seconds. During those 4 rounds he showed all the ingredients for greatness.

But the tyson biggest fans will tell you that mike finished ruddock and it is why was easier for lewis. Nonsense... Ruddock was the same when he fought lewis he was equal of dangerous, after tyson he did beat page and stopped the undefeated jackson, simply lewis destroys every version of ruddock

Tito Trinidad when he stopped Yori Boy Campas in 1994. He got off the floor and then blitzed him. Campas was 56-0 before the fight and it was considered an even money fight. Trinidad would show that strength through adversity multiple times throughout his career.
