He will definitely be remembered most for his losses vs Byrd and Lewis. Also as a HW who could put you asleep while watching almost any of his fights.

The logic is that you can discredit every boxer if you argue in a certain way and only put up the negative.

He was seriously hurt, if he decides to quit because of that injury - it is what it is, no shame in that.

BUT he will always be remembered for getting his face sliced to pieces by a past prime Lennox Lewis, not because of retiring against Byrd

**** knows how much pain he was in, I've never had that injury and I would think no one on here has. He never looked in huge distress to me.

I have to add though, AA fought with a broken jaw and won, Danny Williams managed to KO his opponent with one arm while the other was completely out of it's socket and I respect fighters with the courage and balls to never give up.

    This takes balls

That's no theory. It's a fact he juiced in the amateurs.

I'll always remember him and his brother as the most hated great heavyweight in the history of the sport.

    Exactly!

And this is the fight I think of every time someone comes up with that "torn rotator cuff" bollocks.

And just in case anyone still thinks that could of been a career ending injury, let me remind you that Danny Williams went on to beat Mike Tyson!

Really? last I heard, he came out of retirement, won the world title back and is being touted by some idiots as one of the top two ATG heavyweights?!

So, it didn't end his career, did it?

Mike Tyson also said he'd eat Lennox Lewis' (imaginary) children, told Larry Merchant he fought with a broken back and threatened to **** members of the press until they loved him.

But if you think he speaks sense then so be it.
He's also hardly one to knock having a "tear up" in the ring, is he?
