Waste of talent... he's number one contender.

It wouldn't surprise me if he out hustled VK to a decision.

He should fight Wach instead of Vitali.

It's just a better fight for Adamek.

Vitali is higher risk for higher reward, but when the risk reaches a certain height and the reward is unattainable it just becomes stupid...especially when a prolonged career-threatening beating is at stake.

It isn't like he'd be making pittance against Wach. Sure, it might be less money than a Vitali gate would bring but Adamek-Wach is a passionate sellout crowd in either Poland or Jersey...and I don't see why HBO wouldn't be glad to have Adamek back against a serious opponent after his relatively exciting (for a HW bout) tussle with Arreola.

    Excellent post IB. :good

Adamek should've fought Wach in September, then cashed-in for a bigger payday against Wlad next year.

Adamek will need to be brutalised & brutally KO'd against Vitali, for Haye to even considering fighting Adamek! :yep

After Adamek beats Vitali, he should fight Wladimir.

I dont know what Adamek should do after he loses to Vitali. Its better to think about winning than losing

Adamek won't go quietly. He'll go life and death, if necessary, conditions permitting.

:patsch yikes IB, I expect better from you. Adamek moved up to HW for the big payday and to fight for a world heavyweight title. Facing Wach gives him neither of these. It might be a nice payday, but it's nothing compared to what fighting Vitali in a soccer stadium in Wroclaw was going to bring in. Wach is nowhere near as famous as Vitali and brings little exposure to Adamek by beating him. Vitali's likely going to win, obviously, but Adamek is going to roll the dice and do what a fighter is expected to do: give it their all to try to win a championship. People rip fighters all the time for not stepping it up, Adamek does and now people are throwing a fit about it because they don't think he can win. At least he's going to try, more than any HW contender in recent memory.

Fight with Wach wouldnt make for a better salary than fight with the likes of Grant or Mcbride. Wach is completely unknown in Poland or anywhere outside of hardcore boxing fans. There is also no way HBO would pick it up for the main event. To claim that this would be in any way better fight for Tomasz than encounter with heavyweight champ is just silly imo.

I figured this too, though since I don't live in Poland I couldn't be sure.

He will try to win. He isnt stupid and wont risk losing health pernamently. Adamek's attitude reminds me Marek Piotrowski, but I think that Adamek is just smarter and better knows how to avoid serious damage that could trouble him in the future life.

I think that Adamek really knows how to avoid damage. I remember after Briggs-Vitali, Adamek was complaining that Briggs received too much damage and his tactic was stupid, because it was extremely unhealthy.

Fighters like Briggs, Arreola, Valuev and Peter are tailor made for Vitali. Boxers like Byrd or Adamek are much more demanding opponents. Being smaller, faster, more mobile and active fighter is much bigger advantage against Vitali than being bigger, more powerful, much slower.

How exactly did he attain such a lofty ranking anyways.....Mcbride UD, Arreola, UD, Grant UD. These are his best wins at HW. Haye beat Ruiz and Valuev and Barrett, with 2 KOs. Haye has dropped seriously in the ranking since his loss to Wlad, and Adamek risen since that loss.

How much further will Adamek drop than Haye should he KTFO by Vitali? Perhaps 10th or even 11th.

His best opportunities are at CW where he can get big $$ fights with Cunningham, Huck, Tarver, and then fight and beat contenders till he CHOOSES to retire since he's basically unbeatable at that weight.
