Critics refuse to be honest regarding Wilder. He was built up on low level competition. KOs over individuals whom never sniffed a world title let alone would ever win one. Wilder has 48 fights and only 2 wins over another world champion. And those 2 wins came from the same dude. Bermane Stiverne. He was exposed by Ortiz....and then capitalized by Fury. People claim, he "isn't the same"...........of course he isn't. He's facing other talented fighters whom aren't afraid of his "club punch"...... Wilder should have put more energy into learning the craft, rather than half researching and misquoting bible verses and African Psalms. Then he would have been more competitive vs better competition. And you can't say he just got old.....because he was just beat by a dude who is almost 3.5 years older. Should he retire......Yes, retire and take care of your family. You've earned GREAT MONEY that most people will never see in 3 lifetimes. You bet not try to take our hard earned 9 to 5 dollars again on another PPV ticket to see you get smacked around vs competition you know you shouldn't be in the ring with..... You had a good run. Retire so that I can argue with people on this site about whether or not you are Hall of Fame worthy.......Because I know it will be the subject of choice for some.
