After B-Hop, who's next for Joe Calzaghe?

Before the Lacy fight, JC said that he wanted that fight to be his career defining fight and after that another 3 big fights/paydays and retire as an undefeated champion. With his taunts about Hopkins being old I doubt he wants to still be boxing when he's 40 yrs old.

#1 Mikkel Kessler (regarded at the time as the joint no.1 SMW)

#2 Bernard Hopkins ... Assuming of course that JC will beat Hopkins (which I think he will anyway) then the chances are good that his next fight will be his last.

Joe will want to finish with a big name and big payday like anyone else in his position would. I believe he already has it all planned out who he wants to fight but who will it be?

Roy Jones Jr might not have been on his list before but with him calling out Calzaghe then the payday from that could be very interesting to him, plus he is a big name for his legacy.

    Kelly Pavlik (possible now)
    Lucian Bute
Mikkel Kessler rematch (doubt he would take this one on)

Or perhaps move up to take on one of the LHW champs depending on how he fairs against B-Hop at the heavier weight.

My fear is that the RJJ fight is too big to resist, it would sell well but it's a fight I don't want to see, for Roys' sake as well as Calzaghe.

So who do you all reckon it'll be?

Probably Roy Jones because it would be a big money fight. But I hope it's Chad Dawson.

Joe has made it public he wanted the winner of Pavlik/Taylor. Now that Pavlik has won, it probably won't happen since the whispers are he's going to stay at MW. That said, money talks and if he's offered enough it could happen

Dawson I'd like to see, simply because he's the best fighter from 160-175 aside from Joe

My gut feeling is Woods, after he's done beating Mason

He should fight Roy Jones, imo.

After that, he should fight 4 bums in one year and retire 50-0.

Hopkins will beat him just like i knew floyd would beat hatton. Hopkins even at 43 is still better than Kessler and Lacy and Bika and Manfredo.
