It's a wrap. Got that George Foreman quality to his punches. Once Beterbiev hurts you, you stay hurt. I've seen lots of power punchers like Pacquiao, Kovalev, Inoue, Wilder, Lemieux, Joe Smith, etc. They all look like bangers too. The punches look like they are doing damage, but guys can and have recovered from their shots after being initially hurt. Don't see a lot of punchers like Beterbiev. Something to said for heavy hands vs explosive power and snap? It doesn't look like Beterbiev is generating huge power to the untrained eye, it's not cinematic, but nobody ever recovers. You can't "ride it out". You can't recover between rounds. The damage lingers.
I still think Bivol has plenty of power, he is younger and can move well, beterbiev is just aging more I hope he will be able to still go.
Bertebiev is 40 year old bivol will win on points it's obvious Bertebiev isn't what he was if he was 1 or 2 years older Yarde would have got him and Yarde isn't that good
So what happens if an opponent is able to take his shots and brush it off? Is it a wrap for Beterbiev? We've seen that plenty of times over the years with power punchers that's seemingly too strong for anyone until they come across a fighter that can take their punches and ends up ruining them.
I have a feeling especially now that if he & Bivol fought he would stay on the outside get his shots off and not overcommit to too many long combos as Artur has aged some more he will have to try to hurt Bivol & pressure him to fight his fight & hope to make him make some mistakes, Wish they had fought earlier, could have even had them a second fight or trilogy by now.
Same, it would have been great to see them fight back 3 years back. I would have easily favored Beterbiev from 2019 over Bivol but now it seems like the clock is running out for Beterbiev.
He damages people for good. Just look how many years Gvozdyk had to retire and also this guy This content is protected
