The fight was a prefabricated circus, WWE........................Void fighting a person who was making his boxing debut, 0-0-0 was Conor's record...............there should be a rematch using UFC rules, then let's see who wins? I paid my money and i enjoyed my evening. It was what it was. My biggest dissapointment was really McGregors fitness. Thought he would of had the legs to go alot longer than he did and it ruined what little chance he had to be even mildly competitive in this fight. Only other dissapointment really was Davis not losing. Really gone off him. People sometimes come in overweight but thats an error and a huge one plz show a little humility in what you have done in way of an unspoken apology. There was none of that and if anything the showboating and arrogance can be seen as the opposite.

He was starting to blow after a couple of rounds. He said himself the fitness, the 12 rounds, would be a breeze cuz he is used to up to 25 mins in a championship UFC fight where there is constant pressure of grappling etc where is there is alot of walking round not doing much in Boxing to sap the energy like MMA does. So i expected more than just a couple of rounds from him.

I think Mayweather looked his age, but his experience was too much for an overly anxious McGregor. To McGregor's credit, he had the perfect gamelan and used an annoying jab and well timed uppercut that kept landing on Mayweather, tho they were not powerful punches, but even Mayweather seemed surprised they were still landing. Other boxers should take note. If McGregor had more power, focused on the body more, and had better stamina it would be disaster for any 40 yr old fighter.

 

The fights on FOX did good numbers.
