If you got savagely uppercutted in that way and had other shots occasionally bounced off your skull-would you feel unscathed?

    BTW
There is no such thing as partially unscathed. It's either you are unscathed or you are not.

Not sure why everyone is so against crossover fights, people need to start thinking outside the box and start trying to bring in more casual fans. There's a reason why boxing is becoming more and more of a niche sport. The more fans this sport has the better.

Sooner or later if boxing keeps going down this path, big companies like HBO/SHO will stop supporting it. Then what?

At least with a fight like this, boxing is exposed to a broad audience and can attract potential fans!

It was a really great night overall for both boxing and MMA. It was entertaining, 3 straight knockouts, Dulorme fight was good. Tens of millions of people watched it, maybe even more!

Tons of publicity, tons of news about this. This will only help boxing!

This wasn't a championship fight, just a reg fight.

It sets a horrible prescient. There's peeps of all sorts of freakshow fights right now. What boxing needs to thrive and retain is legitimacy is more elite level fights within it's own realm, unfortunately those are treats and are only seen a handful of times a year at best. Granted this has been a better year for top class matchups and good fights in general, but this doesn't help boxing or MMA in the long run, at least not in the sense of legitimacy. Might set up a few more blatant cash grabs, but not much more apart from that.

We've gotten many legit elite level fighters, and boxing continues to slip. Like Leonard Ellerbe said, boxing promoters and fighters need to start thinking outside the box. Keep trying to pull in fans.

    Canelo/May
    Rigo/Donaire
    Garcia/Matthysse
    Froch/Ward
    Ward/Kovalev
    Ward/Kovalev 2
    May/Pac
    Nelo/GGG
    etc etc etc

Did the Floyd/McGregor fight truly hurt anyone? Mayweather was retired, it's not like he was fighting for a championship belt (Well unless you count The Money Belt as one). It was a fight to pull in the masses, yeah it was a bit of a money grab but this is a business, most fights are money grabs.

They say a sucker is born every minute. If true then we have to adjust that to 30 seconds or thereabout.

    Absolultely right!
And what would happen if a Prime Anthony Joshua would fight a 41 retired Fedor Emelianenko in the octagon today?
Fedor would still win because it s his game.
What a surprise that a semi retired Boxer defeated a Prime MMA fighter in his game.

Ray Mercer won vs Sylvia and lost to the street fighter Kimbo, 1-1.
Ray Mercer lost to Remy Bonjasky and Musashi in Kickboxing, 0-2.

Of course Mercer was already old but how good Sylvia really was watch his fight vs the HW GOAT Fedor and look what he did to him.

Look the kickboxing K-1 Champion Semmy Schilt. Under K-1 rules he was almost unbeatable in his prime. In MMA he was a solid guy but he got also beaten easy by Fedor.

    Fact is:
Any pro Boxer says he would never beat a pro MMA fighter in an MMA fight.
Any pro MMA fighter sayse he would never beat a Pro Boxer in a Boxing fight.

Just the fanboys of both disciplines believe the contrary.

Pro boxers have beaten MMA fighters in the cage. Butterbean and Ray Mercer.

    Get over it fanboys

MMA fans are SOOOO insecure lolol

Fedor would get knocked out in a round vs Lennox Lewis. Who cares. Ray Mercer was ancient when he went to try MMA.

    Fedor was overrated as ****

Give Joshua some MMA training for two years and he'd knockout glass jawed Overeem.

Ok Boxing ''isn't a real fight''. Boxing fans don't care. Okay? Maybe you should go to Sherdog with the wannabe hard guys.

Ngannou has learned MMA in 3 years and he's close to being no.1 contender to fight the champ Miocic if he beats Overeem. It's not a proper sport, sorry. Ngannou could not make it in boxing that's why he went into MMA.

UFC fighter one dimensional Mike Platinum Perry getting stopped by a journeyman.

I actually agree that this event actually helped expose boxing to more masses. I really don't understand why people are calling this a disgrace to boxing. The match wasn't for any prestigious titles.

Blatant cash grabs aren't exactly what I would consider "thinking outside the box"
