People keep saying fans were fooled or gullible, ever stop to think that majority already knew how this fight plays out but just wanted to see something entertaining?

I went to someone's house party to watch, I knew Floyd would win and Conor would gas; but I also knew it'd be entertaining.

Most everyone I spoke to already knew Floyd would win.

Fedor is overrated. Of course he was a great fighter but overrated by his fanboys. Henderson merk'd him and Werdum just beat him easy.

Fedor is from the old weak era of MMA.

Muhammad Ali is overrated. Of course he was a great fighter but overrated by his fanboys. Spinks merk'd him and Berbick just beat Ali easy.

Ali is from the old weak era of boxing

Wonder if these are global figures.

6.5 million for America would be pretty insane

I can't believe the level of hatred going on here.

I have followed his site for a couple of years since getting into boxing as a 40 year old... I watched a bit as a kid. I've never watched Mayweather (but I know a bit), and know nothing about MMA apart fom watching every McGregor fight in the couple of weeks running up to the fight.

Let's assume that it was a real fight.

Mayweather does what he always does and starts slow. This is even more essential as he is old, been out for two years, and the other bloke is much bigger with longer reach.

McGregor looks exceptionally awkward to fight, and does quite well for 2 or 3 rounds. That said Mayweather is very comfortable protecting himself and under no real pressure. McGregor then proceeds to gas like he never trained for the fight at all, starts to wain, until the point after about 8 rounds where Mayweather just follows him round the ring hitting him at will in a display of offensive boxing that is about 4/10 in power and timing, yet 8/10 in effectiveness.

Prime McGregor proved that he has size and reach and awkwardness. He also proved he is nowhere near fit enough for boxing, and no real boxing acumen.

The alternative is this. McGregor knew he was going to lose so he didn't bother getting into shape. He was prepared get into a ring for cash knowing that he was going to be made to look like a bit of a fool by a retired guy not much younger than me, thus reflecting poorly on both himself and the sport that has made him.

Meanwhile if Mayweather agreed to fix the fight then all that proves is that a money grabbing retired boxer is willing to get a dodgy win on his record for cash.

McGregor did show some of his undoubted and exceptional quality as a fighter (some and fighter not boxer). Best case scenario for the MMA fans is he also showed he can't box and he's totally unfit.

McGregor's stamina is questionable in MMA also.

I think Conor if he learned the pacing better in a boxing match he could try and box a guy like Frankie Gavin or Paulie. I dunno if he would win but he'd give a better account of himself vs those two.

Not at all. I can point to other boxers that got stomped at the end of their careers.

    You just got owned.

Honestly, I think he'd knock the **** out of Paulie with a little more training.

I told you before. NOBODY is going to pay to watch Malinaggi vs McGregor. No boxing fans will anyway. Nobody cares.

Who wants to see a guy that can't punch go up against an MMA guy?
