Yea punching is apart of mma...so is the defensive wrestling she used to not get taken down by rousey moron, do boxers train take down defense moron? No What about those jumping side kicks? Lol boxers trying to claim holm was a boxer she was a full time mma fighter by the time she fought rousey. Learn what you're talking about bud How is it comparable to mcgregor whos 0-0 and only had a couple months to train boxing, compared to holly who already had multiple head kick knockouts in mma, and was training full time mma? Answer that bud,
I got the impression from the post fight press conference that McGregor wants to continue his career in the boxing ring, when asked about the difference in the build up he said it was definitely different but he didn't know how and then said it's cleaner or something. Clearly Conor has enjoyed his taste of a far classier and more prestigious sport. It would be hilarious if to further add to the mma worlds embarrassment of their top guy getting beat up by a 40 year old if he ends up ditching the sport and joining the boxing world for good.
Ray Mercer had been shot for years when he fought Sylvia, Sylvia had only just lost the title to Couture the fight before and was a top 10 contender. Slice was as much as boxer as an MMA fighter. Toney was more past it than Couture.
Slice made mercer tap to a guillotine that was locked up wrong...kimbos boxing skills had nothing to do with it, he shot for a takedown within the first minute Also no Sylvia had lost to fedor nog and couture right befor the mercer fight, dood was cracked
When was the last time you've known a fighter as egotistical as Mayweather to give away a round let alone five?Get your head out of your ass and try to be truthful for a change.Thank the stars that it was Conor's first fight and he didn't know how to pace himself after controlling the first five rounds.
You must be out of your mind to think that boxing is the classier sport. The only tradition boxing has is it's participants usually come from the worst segments that society has to offer. Martial arts is steeped in philosophy such as honor, respect, courage and duty. Many mma competitors have post-secondary educations and have come from middle-class backrounds.
It's not about where you come from, it is about where you are heading. And most these MMA guys are heading to zero in a hurry. As for honour and respect, they wouldn't be the first two words that spring to mind when describing Conor McGregor. And it is hard to see much honour in a sport where pounding a man when he is on the floor unconscious is normal. And as for courage, Conor ran like a dog from Floyd for over 5 minutes!
There really are people who think Conan performed well? LMAO. As a boxer he's way below average and average sucks. No speed, no power, no stamina. All the hands behind back stuff and switching stances were nothing but comical. Should go back to the mud fights or wherever the **** he came from in the first place. Next time send a guy who at least has some punching power if nothing else.
UFC is shite... No substance whatsoever. I've tried to like it over the years but it's just like watching a couple of violent drunks fight in a car park... Nah, not for me. Give me the sweet science that is boxing anyday.....
Its this sort of arrogance that led to Conor Mcgregor losing against Floyd. Stop making assumptions about a whole community of fighters.
Quit deluding yourself and understand where you come from usually determines where you end up in the world of boxing. What happens when 99% of boxers careers are over with and they have nothing to fall back on? As far as Conor's response to the loss is concerned, he was the epitome of class.
Yep, nothing screams 'class' quite like scamming your fans out of hundreds if not thousands of dollars each. Now 'class' would be repaying every fan their air fares and tickets, after he promised that he'd knock out Floyd in 4 rounds. He even promised that he'd be able to go 24 rounds if he had to.
