Firstly congrats to both guys for giving us one hell of a fight and showing why boxing will always be better then mma Right so how does this change the top 10 obviously cotto drops out as margo wasn't top b4 the fight. Same as hatton dropped out of most peoples after being stopped by the p4p 1, that loss obviously wasnt as bad as pbf was the best fighter on the planet and margo clearly isnt.

Does margo make the top 10 after beating an unbeaten two weight champion ?oh and will ODH fight margo now, instead of cotto in december and if he does who wins ?anyway congrats to both fighters, great fight and anyone who says cotto quit is full of **** he took a licking from round 7 and still went out on his sheild.

    Interesting subject.

I'm honestly not so sure that it does.

Margarito had an awesome style to match-up with Cotto, but he has lost to lesser men than him, and I still think he's beatable.

If he were to avenge the loss to Williams (which was decisive) or beat a guy like Mosley, he will enter my top ten.

On the other hand, I think Cotto has to drop from most top ten lists, at least until he regroups with some solid wins.

I think that is completely drastic...Cotto showed so much talent and boxing ability in this fight, he moved well, punched with precision and speed. He withstood a lot of punishment and showed that you got to beat the living **** out of him to get him out of there. To beat Cotto you gotta go through hell, Margarito has the chin and pressure and he imposed his will on Cotto. Put it this way If Margarito's chin was any weaker and Cotto's chin was any stronger - Cotto would have won this fight; but the intangibles don't go in favor for all boxers.

Margarito moves into my top 15. Cotto drops about 4-5 spots. I still think he is the better p4p fighter.

    Irrelavent

HE got beat down by a non p4p top 10 fighter, he didnt do to much from round 6 onwards either.

He took his licking like a man though, Hatton loses his only fight to the p4p 1 and every one is quick to say he wasn't **** etc..... even though he did win a few rounds so rules have to apply.:good

Cotto must be at the very best top 15 imo :bart

Yep, and for the Hatton comments. Cotto does everything better than Hatton and that includes take a punch. No way is Hatton above him.

Both Margarito and Cotto should be P4P. They put on a helluva show in the deepest division in boxing. Cotto obviously drops just a little bit but not much. He did everything possible but just came up short.

Trust me when I tell you there is nobody in that division bar Paul Williams that stands a chance against these two. And I say that with the division being as deep as it is.

I disagree, Mosley can still be competitive with anyone at that weight, and I give him a chance against anyone, be it Margarito, Floyd, or Cotto.
