Will any of you anti Wilder posters (90+% on this forum) finally give the undefeated WBC HW Champ and rare USA medal holder his just due? Seriously
I like Wilder, but, @PolishNavy, you have to be one of the most obnoxious nuthuggers here. You and James Smith should get together.
Hey look, I used to stand bxtt nxked in my bedroom and perform to thousands who arent really there. But ya Paulie Malinaggi..............
I remember Polish Navy years ago predicting that it would come down to Wilder vs Joshua and that Wilder would be the one. After numerous HW's eliminated it looks like your getting pretty close to that happening.
Not really. You can't set the bar so abysymally low as he has done and then just expect everyone to get in line after fighting one ranked guy in 2 plus years since winning the belt. In an extremely thin division at that. Look heavyweight right now is one of the worst divisions arguably two of the top 3 fighters (Fury, Wlad) in the division have recently retired. That would hurt any division losing that talent. Then add in that Povetkin arguably the best guy (best resume) has no shot at fighting Wilder either and it's apparent the division is very soft. Joshua looks to be goods and I hope so his last fight was great and his fight with Whyte was fun. Should make for excitement. IF and it's a huge IF wilder fights Ortiz and wins - I will credit him for a good win and clearly establishing himself as a top 3 contender in the division. That's where he would stand with me. Top 3 in weak division. If he fights anyone but Ortiz next I will be disappointed but not surprised.
I fully expect him to have someone considerably less rated than Ortiz in mind and that he's already planning on giving them a very short camp.
If he beats Ortiz, it will solidify his number 2 position below Joshua. Seriously, there are just not many contenders in the heavyweight division. The top 4 should just fight one another.
Agree Merely getting in the ring with Ortiz, win or not, will be wilders biggest accomplishment yet Lol
Two things he needs to do to get his "just due" 1. Fight a legit top tier opponent and win decisively 2. Fight a goddamn mandatory defense!
Beating Ortiz wil be a big step in the right direction. It doesn't instantly make up for all the years of joke match-ups however.
