Yes I will, mind you, he will have ONLY then just deserved some "due", if he were to go back to fighting sub-top guys AGAIN after beating Ortiz, well then I would go back to calling him a stinking DUCKER.

But yes for sure I would give him "some-due" if he beat Ortiz, to be fair I would give him his due for simply facing Ortiz, win or loose. I think its a 50/50 anyways.

I used to root for Wilder up until Sterverne but what he has done since has been bad for boxing. Plus its Wilders fault that poor Blizzy had a nervous break down trying to support him. So until Wilder steps it up I'm going to continue to call him out for ducking.

Wilder has had 5 voluntary title fights in a row, who else could get by with that? Ortiz looked terrible in his last fight, he is old, he was looking good, but just looks old and over the hill, that could be the reason Wilder might fight him, plus the fact that TV would refuse to show Wilder against Stiverne again, we can blame Stiverne being mandatory of the WBC and Haymon.................boxing fans have been duped for years by Wilder, hope Ortiz fights at his best, if he does, Wilder will get into trouble, unless Haymon paid Ortiz to take a dive, hope not, but you never know in the most corrupt sport in the world...............

His just due? No i wont be giving him any just due. Where would be the fun in that? Wilder needs to be ridiculed for our entertainment. Unless ofcourse he wants to go on a mission of fighting good opposition whilst allowing them full training camps and beating them. Then i will give him his just due,s cuz he will of earned it.

Wilder fighting Ortiz would be a step in the right direction, after all this time fighting average opponents, but he will need to do more to gain my respect. However, you cannot seriously believe based on what Wilder has done the last two and a half years or so that he would actually choose to fight a dangerous opponent. If they were to fight, I fully expect Ortiz to win simply because Wilder just isn't that good, a knockout waiting to happen. Wilder and his team probably feel the same which is why it is extremely unlikely that such a fight is made.

When Ortiz was looking good Wilder would not come near him, but how that Ortiz has been looking old, slow, over the hill, Wilder might take a chance. Wonder if Ortiz will be allowed to have a full training camp? Could we see the old Ortiz? If so, Wilder is in some real trouble..............

If the fight happens, that definitely will have been a factor in taking this fight. Had Ortiz smashed Scott and Allen I'm sure it would of never even been brought up. Ortiz is old and has looked vulnerable recently.

Nope. Ortiz is 40. Wilder needs to fight Pedvetkin.

Charles Martin better be sat by that phone. Ranked 11. A former champ but never really world class. Looking out of shape and inactive. Sounds like an ideal Wilder opponent.

When Deontay beats Ortiz, he'll be regarded as the true undisputed champion. Now hurry up WBA! Strip that title from that body builder Joshua this instance!

Another reason I am highly skeptical of this fight is, Ortiz is now a mandatory to fight Joshua. Here is a 40 year old man in line to fight the biggest payday of his career by far, Joshua coming off the fight of the year so far where he draws 90 thousand ppl into the seats.
Now Wilder calls him out, where was Wilder looking for this match when he was facing Molina? Arreola? Szpilka? Etc.
wilder barely sells out barns in his home state of Alabama. So Ortiz now is gonna pass up his shot at big bucks for this.
It reeks of Wilder's typical nonsense.

Also are we really running with the narrative that Wilder, a man who recently turned down a massive payday to face Dillian 'Caveman' Whyte did so to take a **** load less money against the heavily hyped Luis Ortiz?

If that is the case then Deontay is as stupid as he looks and the handling of his career can't really be attributed to his dumb ass.

When you are facing an explosive KO artist like Wilder, failing a drug test could be the easy way out. Nobody wants to be a KO highlight on YouTube

Lets hope Luis Ortiz is mentally tough enough to avoid using PEDs before this fight

I won't give him 2 much credit. Ortiz hasn't looked great in his last 2 fights. if this was wilder facing the Ortiz after the Jennings fight then yes I would give wilder a lot of credit if he won. but Ortiz has looked old and slowing down in his last 2 fights.
