I'll give him credit if he can dominate Shane... even at 39.

But again, Floyd has yet to take a fight where he's the underdog... Win or lose, a 39 year old Shane Mosley is still a relatively safe pick for Floyd at this point.

If you're the "greatest fighter of all time," you think you might be willing to challenge yourself and fight as a slight underdog once in a while.

If Floyd is half as great as he claims to be then why not step up and tell Pac:
"Hey, you can take all the roids and a-side meth you want,,, I'll still beat your ass"

Why not call out Paul Williams at 147-154lbs?

Why not fight Martinez for the middle-weight championship?

Why do you inject too much commonsense in your post?

You will be the most hated poster in ESB for that. Let people continue with their fantasy!

Mayweather deserves a lot of credit if he wins. The only case where he shouldn't get credit if Mosley comes in shot and doesn't put up a fight, like Oscar against Pacquiao. But if Mosley shows up in shape and competitive trying to win then Mayweather deserves a ton of credit.

Ishe Smith was one of Floyd's sparring partners and he said... Ishe is one of the most underrated fighters in boxing.

"It would do Mayweather a disservice if I tell what I think so early, he hired me for a reason and I always respect everyone I spar. I will say this though, I have never in my 24 years of boxing ever see someone train as hard as him, including myself, his routine is bananas, never had I've seen anything like it, he doesn't get tired. I've sparred Shane as well, but this guy Mayweather is on some non human type ish when it comes to training and what I have seen with my own eyes."

    that being said wow!

This point is obviously ridiculous. If you take time to think about it, I'm sure you would agree. Anyway, Floyd has been the underdog twice I believe. He was a 3-1 underdog against Hernandez, and he might have been a slight underdog against Corrales. Those were two of his most lopsided fights, so being an underdog is irrelevant anyway. Given Floyd's status and skillset, it's almost impossible for him to be an underdog. He would be the favorite against Williams at either 147 or 154. There's no good reason why he should have to go to MW to prove himself.

    Exactly. :good

Why should he look for middleweights just so he's the underdog? He's 5'8 for Christs sake. To be honest, would any middleweights even be favoured over him? Martinez/Williams/Pavlik? I wouldn't be too confident the bookies are gonna make those guys the favourite.

Most people don't even realize that Pacquiao uses more movement than Mayweather. The idea of Mayweather being a runner is way overblown.

wow!! now ive seriously seen everything. if fighting a man thats coming of a destructive win over the then most feared welterweight a "hand picked" opponent, then there is no gaurentee who els you would think is a safe fight for mayweather. mosley is the # 3 guy in the welterweight division for a damn good reason, its the best fight floyd could take next to pacman. but whats even funnier about this post is the obvious hypocrisy behind it, if floyd signed on to fight pacman then you would probably accuse him of ducking shane. all in all, the naysayers will always have a backup plan.

Not gonna dominate Mosley b'cause besides age and boxing activity, there's a whole lot of skill in both sides and much more strength and punch power from Shane which doesn't get lost with age, not until this point and if combined with his fast flurry power, then it's gonna be a tough one to call.

I've seen you make excuses for every Pacquiao win, so don't cry Chubaka.

Mosley is old, he lost to Cotto, a prime Mosley would never lose to Cotto, he had an ugly fight with Mayorga too. Not only is he old but he's been inactive. He can still have a good performance though, but we can only see after the fight, win or lose.

the fact that some people are considering ****ing shane mosley, regardless of age and has shown to still be as dangerous as ever, a "safe opponent". there really is no limit to the naysayers would say
