He should never again be demanded to fight outside of his weightclass/comfortzone.
Canelo is the second biggest draw and yall claim he has floyds number and is some boogie man. Well if he taps his ass what more do you want?

Dude is 36, almost 40 and the top draw in the sport. He doesn't need to be fighting where he's not comfortable. After he takes care of Canelo, if any of these fighters want a piece of Floyd, they better find a way to to make 147 or forget about it. That's what Floyd had to do to get his biggest payday, and so should these other hungry fighters.

There will always be someone else, you know how it is. Oscar fought Chavez, Quartey, Carr, Trinidad in one year...... and months later people were hyping a Mosley bout

Fine. I just want to see him fight canelo, it's by far the most intriguing option right now. I wonder whether, in a few fight's time, whether someone like Broner or Thurman will be a legit challenge at 147.

Were you saying the same thing about Pac after he gave up 20lbs fighting Margarito?

Isn't that the point of being a champion, you have to defend your status against the best competition available?

 I like how, just because he's 36, you add four more years on to him. **** it, why not just claim him to be 50. Make him out to be the oldest fighter in the sport. A 50 year old that loses 15 pounds of muscle every time he's made to drink tap water.

But yeah, fighting Canelo would be a great move. After him, there really will be no one threatening left to challenge him, so he can do what he wants. Considering the greatest challenges he's missed for one reason or the other over the past few years, fighting Canelo -- who he'll beat -- is the least he should do, don't you think? It's not like he'll be doing us a favour. It is what's required of him - you know, to fight the best. As a fan, I can't believe you'd complain about that.

So it's not about forcing him to fight out of his comfort zone. It's about forcing him to fight people who'd give him his biggest challenges. He's not being thrown in with someone that's gonna' kill him. He's being asked to fight someone he'll still be the favourite against .

Honestly I wont even care... he can "duck" the hell out of these "threats" after Canelo...
Dude is close to 40 and has paid his dues and has a right to fight who and what weight class he wants.

If up and comers feel like they deserve a shot, they better do whatever it takes to get it and follow Floyd's demands. Not the other way around. Respect the OG :deal

Its time for people to stop hating and start appreciating. The man is a living legend.

^^^ Yet someone like Pacquiao -- who's also paid his dues and has recently suffered from fighting most toughest opponent for him -- doesn't have the right to fight who he wants and when he wants. Hypocrisy at its finest.

    I agree.

Canelo seems to be getting too big for his britches already and he only has one live body on his resume. Hopefully he doesn't out-diva himself out of the fight the way he has been acting.

He's already acting like he doesn't need Mayweather.

The last live body Pac fought at their weightclass was Clottey in 2010....think people had a right to ask for more.

Dude is the catchweight king and Marquez was a cherrypick gone terribly wrong. He got schooled and was obligated to correct it then got KTFO..

Last time I checked he isn't the one being demanded to fight 154+ fighters. Different standards for different class of fighters I guess.

Let me know when he's fighting someone in his weight class and someone who isn't coming off a loss.
