After Foreman, does anyone see Cotto defeating a top quality JMW?

Why is he doing this? I don't see this venture ending well. Is it pressure from his fans who want to believe that the pre-Margarito body destroyer hasn't just disappeared? Thoughts?

Top Rank calls the shots in this case.Placing Cotto in with a non puncher will bring out the best of Cotto.Lord knows he needs a breather after Pacman, not to mention a well earned payday.Good call and makes sense.:good

Let him get the Foreman fight out of the way first and we will see where he goes from there. i would like to see a Hatton vs Cotto looser retires fight at 145

Agreed... but do you understand my concern? What's his plan, what is he going to learn about himself as a fighter from Foreman?

Not a bad idea! Hatton has been itching to get back into the fray...plus it would be a hell of an action fight :bbb.

he doesnt need to learn anything is a grown man already all he needs is to get his confidence back after two loses almost back to back.. and work a lot harder but if he hasnt up to this point in his career and after those two loses then he never will be a hard worker at the gym.. so the best thing is make some money and retire

    A. If he can cut it at LMW

    B. If he has anything left in the tank

    C. Confidence booster after a crushing loss

I think its fair to say he has proven enough in the sport and after a crushing loss to move up and fight a world champ takes some balls, hats off to him i hope he pulls it off.

I see him fighting maybe Spinks, Angulo or Alcine.

But he should stay away from Williams, Cintron and Martinez untill he gets some of his old confidence back.

He may not beat Foreman, but if he does, the only other JMW i see Cotto beating is Spinks, who seems more gone than Cotto ever has.

he needs to stay away from Angulo too! If he goes after Spinks he can go out unifying the title and with a pretty big name on his resume. he needs to focus on Foreman first though. he's not going to be a walk in the park.
