After Foreman Schools Cotto..

Foreman is going to school Cotto. If you have seen Emanuels camp interview, he is setting himself up with low expectations. He says Cotto is a long work in progress to change him. He says that Yuri is one of the toughest fights they could have and is a tough fight for anybody in the world.

Manny really wanted to train him for the Pacman fight. His expectations of him have obviously plummeted since then. He has other fighters who will trump Cotto, especially if it comes down to him and Wlad fighting in the same time frame.

Everything hails on this Foreman fight and there is low odds of them making it past the 1st fight. Foreman is going to be too quick and too sharp to be outpointed. Cotto's best boxing skills are only displayed while he is in retreat. He's not on of the top hunters out there IMO. Barring a lucky KO shot he loses.

And then they split up.

If he does win somehow, Floyd/Mosely winner could be had for his belt. A win there could get him a rematch with Pac. All unlikely but in any case like that Manny would want in on those type of paydays.

 

when cotto has lost, he has looked very good early before being broken down. foreman is slippery but isnt a very hard puncher at all. this is very favorable for miguel. on the other hand, i don't expect him to look very good at 154. however, w/ cotto's great jab i expect steward to be able to do some very productive things with him and do not expect him to leave cotto win lose or draw.

Yes JT fired Steward, and rightly so. It was Steward's ****ed up fight plan, along with grossly underestimating Pavlik, that cost Jermain the middleweight championship.

 

Foreman was handpicked, I'm sure they really wanted Spinks, but Foreman isn't too much of a threat as he can't punch, Goin after PW, Dzinzerak, or Martinez would've been dangerous.

Pulling for Cotto but IMO Foreman will frustrate the hell out of MC to a unanimous dec.

Cotto will probably prevail, but the ts does have a funny point, uncle tom does have a history of abandoning ship.

 

Foreman should be in roids & plaster to win against Cotto

steward is an opportunist all he does is get on boxers wagon and takes all the credit.. if cotto loses this fight nobody is going to blame steward all they gonna say is cotto is over the hill and should retire but if cotto wins it'll all be because of steward.... he's making a lot of money and a good career like that with out doing any hard work
