After Golden Boy and Top Rank, Who are the Best Promoters?

First, there is no "Mayweather Promotions". That is what caused the split with Curtis Jackson. Instead of helping Floyd with "Mayweather Promotions" as asked he saw there was nothing there, in the legal sense, so he set up a new company and made himself and equal partner and then wanted Floyd to fund half of it. That old saying, "With friends like that............"

That said most other 'promoters' do a **** poor job. At least in the states. GBP/TR are out putting on cards and developing stables. The rest just hope to get lucky with a signing and live off of TV money. How else do you explain someone like Paul Williams not putting asses in seats? Andre Ward? Chad Dawson? None were/are promoted properly. Distant third doesn't rate a mention in my way of thinking. They aren't true promoters and are more leaches than TR/GBP.

 

African american fighters generally don't sell many tickets but they do good TV ratings.

 

They all suck so there really is no "best", including GB and TR. It's more like "which one sucks the least?"

 

Don't the Klitschko's have a promotion company.
