Soy milk shake with frozen fruits + half-banaa + yogourt + protein in it. I also add a natural whole food vitamin.

Whey protein you can buy from any health shop, just fast absorbing protein in powder form, just blend that with some dry oats with water or milk.

When's the best time to take a protein shake? Before or after a workout? I've heard some people say best to have it before so its in your system during the workout while others have told me to have it after to aid recovery.

    Very confused.

    For me it's -

Whey protein to help rebuild damaged muscle

A banana and a multivitamin to restore electrolytes and minerals sweated out during training

Either water melon or some water c.rackers to provide some hi GI carbs to restore glycogen stores

You would have your protein shake AFTER you work out?

I take my protein shake after I lift. Try and consume it ASAP after your workout. It helps rebuild your muscle. I think it has something to do with the amino acids (correct me if I am wrong). Protein shakes are best because they are absorbed the fastest by your body due to them already being in a broken down form.
