so where would you place him and who would you have as #1? bear in mind that pac is a 140 fighter now and won't be fighting at a lower weight any more. i'd have him as #1 in that scenario if he beat both convincingly
Why not? Didn't Hopkins get to #1 after beating a couple elite smaller guys in becoming the dominant fighter in his one division? Hatton's the best at 140 and IF he could pull that off, it'd be enough in my book. I don't think he will do it, but fair's fair. He already got punished hard enough by losing a fight moving up against the P4P #1 fighter and dropping completely out of the rankings. If he manages to stop both Pac and JMM, that'd be pretty ****ing impressive.
in true boxer fans eyes he would have to be as you can not put boxers above a guy that he just beat, but we are talking about ring mag ranking here right? other p4p list will have hatton no1 for sure.
No, why would he? Those are fighters coming from the lower weights. IT will be good in his resume tho because Pac and JMM are big names and was pretty successful moving up.
I thought you guys would have learnt your lesson against mayweather, hatton has no chance, the latteral movement and stamina pacquiao brings up would too hard for hatton to take care off. and marquez isn't going to waste his time on a washed up fighter, he is going to call out pacquiao, and if pacquiao turns the fight down then he will look to conquer his own weight class.
I already think Hatton can beat JMM, but Pacman would be the big fight. If he beats Pacman he might be there already without having to fight JMM.
yes he would and its not totally unrealistic, he has a 50/50 chance against pac and I think he would be able to back jmm up against the ropes the way diaz did but hatton hits alot harder.
What on earth does that effect? And yes 100%, if he beats Pacquiao convincingly, as Richard Scahefer and Bob Arum said yesterday this is the challenge for the #1 P4P in the sport.
