Hopkins will never fight Toney until he sees that Toney becomes absolute vegetable. There are so many good fighters that graced the 160 - 175 lbs division throughout the whole 90s and Hopkins did not fight a single one of them, except Jones which he lost. Look at his pathetic resume during 90s. It is truly deplorable when the best name in your resume is Glen Johnson in a division/era that seen the likes of Toney, Mccallum, Mccllelan, Nunn, Benn, Eubank, Reggie Johnson, Tate, Littles, Hill, Griffin, delValle, Lucas and so many more.
thing is ..i look at the rankings /lists of fighters and matching them up wid BHop ..is still a viable fight ...Jones?? not so viable ...still i'd love to see it
it aint nice to mock a guy whos in bad medical condition like McClellan but from what ive read about the guy he was a complete piece of **** and if the stuff i read was true then **** him. mock away
i've defended his post trinidad resume but when you looks at his PRE trinidad resume, you're right, there are glaring ommissions. however he was nobody back then and likely couldn't get the fights if he wanted them
Hopkins - Toney is much more interesting than Hopkins - Jones, especially as Bernard wants Haye next (recent interview). In an interview today, Toney was very frustrated that Hopkins did not fight him. Shame on Hopkins for DUCKING James Toney. And this already the second time, he also did at cruiserweight after the jirov fight.
Someone should slap you for even starting this thread. Jokes are one thing, but come on now. Or maybe we should dig up Archie Moore and B-Hop can fight him. Haha is that funny? Stupid ******!
a drug or something put in a drink that knocks you out, like if i offered you a drink and i spiked it with something that would make you lose conscious then i would have just slipped you a mickey.
to be honest i've heard that rumour as well. along with that, the talks that manny steward stopped training g-man because he was getting dizzy and headaches during sparring sessions after the jackson fights. tragic none the less...
