I could see it doing in the region of about 800k - 900k if it were to happen next.

I think it would flop terribly. Who wants to see Joshua vs Wilder, when we can see AJ fight David Allen at Turf Moor?

I'm also really looking forward to Wilder vs Ortiz II and then Wilder vs Kownacki.

800k seems about right, maybe more if we're being generous. Wilder has a better profile now thanks to AJ and Fury plus it's for an undisputed champion, they'll promote it all day long.

This is the HW division and the Ruiz fight will be most CASUAL American fans first time seeing AJ fight.. That Wilder KO has been mentioned and replayed on every major network and media outlet here and if AJ destroys Ruiz with a highlight reel KO AJ vs Wilder hype would be through the roof.. I can honestly see at 1.5 million PPVs sold for that fight.. Trust me KOs excite casuals more than anything else involving boxing and the HW division can feed that appetite..

900k-1million was what I went for, especially considering it’s not going to happen until at least next year.

If AJ looks impressive against Ruiz, I think it breaks 1 million.

Ruiz has a better chance at eating 25 Snickers in a night than beating AJ. No offense, it's a quick tune up on American soil .

I think 800-900,000 if he were to fight Wilder next., especially if he stops Ruiz dramatically. Wilder clearly has a bump right now, he's fresh and just destroyed someone. That is in the public eye. Casuals are talking about that Ko. They need the fight to happen immediately because both of them (assuming Joshua likely will as well) knocking out guys in emphatic fashion is gonna put gasoline of the fire.

Um I am pretty sure Ruiz does eat 25 Snickers per night. So basically you are saying he will beat AJ? AJ struggled against Joseph Parker a guy most people think Ruiz beat. Ruiz will probably go the distance with Joshua as well and lose a dull decision.

He gotta beat Ruiz first.... He ain't no big plodding, slow oaf of a heavyweight like Beazeale.

I'd expect AJ to win but he isn't tailor made for AJ like Breazeale was for Wilder..

Wilder did what? 250k ppv buys? Joshua, has he ever done ppv in US?

They’ll be lucky to break 600k.

Fans don’t tune in to fights because they heard of them in some talk shows. They tune in because they’re invested in them. Whether it’s because they think tyson is the baddest man on the planet, wanted to see if Floyd can be beat, Mexican or Filipino fans.

Nobody in America knows who Ruiz is, it will have little to no impact. Also it's no given did AJ beats Ruiz. Regardless, the ppv would still probably do a million or so.
