This is DAZN muther****ers. No PPV.

Wilder is not a huge draw and Joshua is definitely not known in the U.S.

But if PPV was still the model, I say between 600K-900K max, being very liberal with my prediction.

A million? When was the last time someone not named Pacquiao, Mayweather or Canelo sold even more than 900K PPVs.

Errol Spence and Mikey Garcia are more known and they couldn't even crack 500K.

Right now neither seem to be the big draw required in the US to break 1 mill PPV buys. The poor viewing figures from Wilder/Breazeale suggest that the hype and increase in public awareness of Wilder from the Fury fight hasn't translated into him being a bigger draw.

I'd say right now it does 800-900K at best and even that might be optimistic, which makes it all the more crazy that Wilder turned down so much money for the fight which probably doesn't make anywhere near what DAZN was willing to pay on PPV right now.

I get Wilder's side wanting to delay and marinate the fight to try and make more money but the danger is that neither of them becomes a big star in the US without this unification happening or one of them loses before it happens, killing any eventual unification at the box office.

You say it’s no given he will beat Ruiz but once he destroys him in under 2 rounds you will come on and state how bad an opponent he was.

It will be on a subscription so won’t be buys. It’s gona be billed as the fight of the century, the biggest heavyweight fight of all time. The promotion will be outrageous for it.

Will do over a million UK and I expect over a million US too.

This should be done on a cruise ship.
If they did that at the correct time PPV would crack 2+ Mil

Worldwide or just USA? Worldwide could easily be 2.5 million

I will say that the UK PPV figures are maybe...1.75 million? The Klitschko fight did about 1.5 million, so I'd expect the Wilder fight to do a tiny bit more. Compare those to the Fury fight which I would say does way over 2 million in the UK. And it doesn't even matter whether Fury and Joshua have belts. They could have no belts, be 40 years old and it would outsell the Wilder fight.

But yeah, between 1.75 and 1.9 million I'd say for the Wilder fight.

My ideal situation is for Wilder to fight Joshua and then Fury to fight Whyte. Then the two winners face each other. Then down the road, you are probably going to want to add Usyk into that mix.

If this happens in the US, I can see this doing 600k. Wilder is no draw and he barely did 330k vs. Fury. He can probably do twice that vs. AJ.

I would guess 600k-700k because I'm skeptical of the American boxing PPV audience, but maybe they could do a little better. I do think FMJ/Pac hurt the sport, though. People gave boxing a shot, hated that fight and haven't thought about it since.
