After Klitschko, Fury will not get another big fight for a long time

Just kind of realized this. Even if he beats Wlad again (and he should), he will have nothing of note lined up for a long time.

Anthony Joshua-The fight everyone wants to see, Joshua's camp has made it clear at least twice that they are not ready for Fury and will not be for some time.

Deontay Wilder- After he pounds fat corpse Arreola, he will have to face a mandatory, be it Povetkin, Stiverne or maybe Pulev. I think most of us realize that Wilder does not really want Fury or anybody else anyway. He wants to beat corpses until cashed out.

Povetkin- Presumably will be facing Wilder or a suspension.

Haye- Fury has stated that he will not fight Haye under any circumstances due to Haye pulling out twice and almost bankrupting his family.

Joseph Parker- Just won and IBF eliminator, so will probably be facing Joshua.

Those really are the big names. So what is left on table?

Winner of Ustinov-Ortiz-Chagaev-Oquendo- The WBA has stated that they want to clarify the title situation. So Fury will probably end up facing off against the winner of this mess. Excluding Klit, these represent the top four in the WBA.

WBO route- eliminating Parker, who is IBF bound, Klit who will be gone, and Hugh Fury, possible names here include:

    Andy Ruiz
    Takam
    Ustinov
    Wallish
    Gerber
    Scott
    Pulev

So, the best we can hope for in the near future is:

    Ortiz
    Ustinov
    Pulev

We all stand in awe and fear of Dustin Nichols' boundless potential, which is as great as his girth, but he has to dedicate himself to the sport. Currently, he is too busy saving other galaxies, as well as the odd kitten who got stuck in a tree.

Fury won't retire. That is just bi-polar trash talk.

Wilder wants no part of anyone who can fight at all.

Joshua's camp have stated at least twice that they aren't ready for Fury.

You're right, no big fights in sight. But the good thing is that Fury is someone who is nice to watch even when he isn't fighting big names. He's spectacular in and out the ring.

Joshua will have to fight Fury. Too much public demand for that fight not to happen.

I believe Wilder's team believes he can beat Fury. So that is the fight to expect. I think Wilder's team is quite aware that Wilder is a fraud and that is why after 36 bouts he has one fight against a ranked opponent. Wilder will avoid Pobetkin like the plague and any other legit opponent and hope he gets the Fury fight. Likewise if Wlad wins I think Wlad even at 40 views Wilder as an easy nights work. So look for Wilder to continue to can crush and fight no one and hope that he gets a unification bout before a mandatory

Im happy though (Although not a Fury fan really) that he earns good cash in the rematch now. It's said his purse is at least as big as Wlad's for the rematch so that should set up a nice nest egg for Fury and his family. Yes, then he will have to be happy with some smaller purses but if he and his handlers play it smart they will be other big paydays in the coming years, especially if its unification fights against AJ/Haye for domestic dustups.

Wlad sparred Deontay and absolutely schooled him. Even a 41 year old Wlad would likely destroy Wilder.

Also,,, Fury is going to get KTFO. It will take some time before he even thinks about getting in the ring again.
