After Lacy or Johnson, Roy Jones wants to move back up to the HW division

I really don't think it is all about the money. Hey, a couple of money fights and he is out. It is like Tyson. They say he is broke and asked Roach for a job. The guy lives in a 10 + million-dollar home. Broke for us is not broke for them.

The guy was a poster boy for HBO and tons of endorsements. He should be rich a ****.

 

come on roy...i grew up watching him and he was always my favorite fighter but this cannot happen. god forbid he takes a 250lb right behind a stiff jab...he's an atg and if he's still got the fire to be around the sport then he should start training youngsters or something.

 

Look If he fights Johnson he either avenges a loss or gets forced into retirement ..One way another all this Jones mess will eventually be sorted out ..

 

If he did, do not expect any significant fights @ HW for Roy.

 

Is Roy really that broke ?Last I checked property values in Pensacola were not an an all time high !

 

Roy's just talking to hear himself talk. The only big fight left for him that makes sense from a risk/ reward standpoint is Hopkins. A few more flashy KOs in Pensacola against no-hopers, and he should have enough "believers" behind him to fill a decent sized venue and make the fight viable.

I remember when Jones said he wanted to fight Vitali, what a mismatch.

Jones is still rich, but greedy. He could get seriously hurt.
