To compare Vlad‘s power punching skill to Wilder is a bit of a stretch . Wlad threw controlled, skilled HEAVY shots while still seeming composed.... Wilder swings with recklessness and what looks to be desperation Wilers seems very susceptible to a good skilled hard puncher (Povetkin?)but then again you can’t argue with his success last night; he got the job done
Wilder looked very poor and AJ will certainly make short work of him. DW better hope he can get the big payday with Joshua before someone else KO`s him.
Wilder has that equaliser though! It seemed like every clean punch Wilder threw put Ortiz on the canvas and I wonder whether Joshua would be maybe too cautious of that right hand
Joshua seems like a fairly smart and confident guy. He probably saw the danger that Wilder possesses but also the flaws and weaknesses has. He's probably respectful of the danger but confident he can beat him.
I'm sure Joshua thinks he can easily stop Wilder. I'm sure after that fight however, Joshua's handlers (if smart), realize Joshua can fight a perfect fight but if they don't get rid of Wilder, he can potentially spark Joshua anywhere from round 1-12. I think they realize Wilder is a true danger, as crude and technically deficient as he is. Amazing time that we live in that one of the top HW boxers in the world has the craft of a 8th grade middle school girl but hits like the incredible hulk. *facepalm*
AJ was probably thinking why they put Comedy Central material on Showtime last night. Wilder is a baffoon.
Well yes, but that makes him a top 3 HW in my book. Deontays winning streak can't be ignored, even if he did it in lousy and windmilling style. He lost way too many rounds, took tons of punches but he kept winning. We'll have to deal with these facts.
I can't see AJ walking through Wilder.Don't think he would try.One thing we can be sure of is if either hurts the other one, they go in for the kill.No easing off like Wlad did.Great even fight.
