**** they still bitching and moaning about the Cotto fight when it was only two pounds and Cotto looked fairly good on fight night but they are fine with Dawson having to drop seven pounds and looking dead on fight night, its only hurtful when its Pac doing it, gotta love these hoe ass fake fans double standards.

How was this a catch weight? Dawson was the one who wanted it. They fought at the 168 lbs weight limit.

I guess Froch was drainwd as well, Ward dominates and now Chad is drained, Chad often doesnt want to let his hands go like last night and Ward just picked him apart...

I Know but like I said reading the comments today comical, even my wife pointed out in round 1, Dawsons legs are not there and he is missing everything this isnt going 12 he is drained.

Remember that thread that said something like WBC makes new rule to help Chavez Jr keep his belt?

Well that rule wouldnt actually help Chavez Jr, because the rule states if your fighting for the WBC title, you can not put on more than 15 after the weigh in.

    Whats my point here?

Okay you have Dawson who comes down in weight to make 175, the man has to take off an additional 7 pounds, how is he going to be able to rehydrate enough to be healthy? they have a 15 pound cut off and for a guy who is taking off 7 additional pounds he needed to put back more than 15 pounds

Anyhow I still dont understand why the haters think that rule favors chavez Jr but oh well.....

Funny how they flip flop all the muuufukkkkin time

Cotto comes down two pounds to meet at a 145 catchweight between 140 and 147 <---- :rant

Dawson has a catchweight request declined and moves all seven pounds down to 168 from 175 <---- :thumbsup

True, he wanted the fight but didnt he request 170? and Ward obviously didnt believe in himself enough to go for that.

But hey like you said Dawson wanted the fight, Delahoya wanted the Pacquiao fight too.... so my question is can there be a truce? **** noo payback is a ***** *****s

    :good

I think the fact that he had NO legs and NO power have more to do with the complaining about the weight.

Dawsons only advantages over Ward were nullified by that fact.

Also, Dawson typically has a decent beard, but in sparring while draining the weight, he was alledgedly KOd by a far inferior fighter. Surely, if that aint proof positive, IDK what ROIDMOs need.:rofl

Ward said they were bringing him down instead of the catchweight. Now we all know why.

LOL...my head was not right. What I meant to say was that they fought at the weight limit for the belt. You can't go above the weight limit for a title fight. They can do a catchweight up to the 168 and no more.

it was Oscar's own fault, he wanted to fight there, he wanted to come down and fight Hatton and though Pacquaio would have more problems coming up than he would going down. He has no reason to complain.

I'm not a fan of catchweights but if a boxer agrees to them then its there own fault if they screw themselves over.

I don't think Dawson was too concerned about winning a title at 168 he just wanted the fight with Ward. He asked for the fight at 170 but Ward said no so Chad agreed to 168 to make the fight happen.
