Floyd looked vulnerable, althought he looked really good in other ways such as his offensive fight game.

    My thoughts:
Manny isn't as strong to keep mayweather on the ropes as cotto was, and doesn't have as good of a jab to get him on the ropes, but he is a lot faster, harder and more accurate punches than cotto, so maybe he could cause more damage. He is also a southpaw.

I still think mayweather will win, but it will be a lot closer than some people say who think mayweather will walk through pacquiao. What you guys think?

  2. Pacquiao beats Floyd. Possibly stops him. Cotto connected lefts with regularity. Pacquiao would make each and every single one landed count. If Floyd strictly boxes, he would most likely win a decision. If he stands and trades, Pac destroys him.

    Floyd by UD.
BTW, no change in my prediction since the first time this fight was ever thought about.

it would be an interesting fight. More interesting now than if we were to have figured out a way to match them up at their best. One man's decline can make it great for a fight. Sucks for the fighter but great for the fans.

Like Prime Frazier vs. Post-exiled Ali

Not much as changed. Floyd by UD.

  8. On the basis of what?

Pac's chin has been tested repeatedly in the higher weights and no one has seriously hurt him, save for Margarito's body shots.

i was reminded of hamed vs barrera in a way. i recall how most people overated prince and what he would do against the top dogs. i always figured he would be brought back to earth once he fought an elite still near his prime. i feel the same about floyd even though cotto is not an elite near his prime anymore. pac man will be floyds barrera.

Post Bradley fight I expect the expectations for this fight to die considerably.
(expecting Timmy to spoil Pacquiao's post JMM gift)

    Floyd UD, styles make fights.

Pac gets the first few rounds but Mayweather adjusts and outboxes him. No way in hell does May stay in the pocket.. maybe in the later rounds after having built a huge lead.

Floyd still wins. People forget quickly that Pac just got schooled by Marquez.
