I here these names being thrown around....

    # 1 Joe Calzaghe
    # 2 Arthur Abraham
    # 3 Marco Antonio Rubio
    # 4 John Duddy

Who do guys think is next and why? There is a good case for each
Calzaghe vs Pavlik would be one biggest fights in boxing, If Abraham beats Miranda Pavlik vs Abraham would red hot, Arum has set up Rubio already for Pavlik in Sept, Duddy vs Pavlik is a big pay day for both men. My thought is Arum goes through with plans for his plans for Pavlik vs Rubio. What do guys think?:hat

I think a lot will depend on the outcome of Abraham/Miranda. If Arthur wins I think he and Kelly fight a unification bout. If Miranda beats Arthur convincingly, he will call out Kelly incessantly, and a fight will likely be made at a catchweight - maybe 166.

I think a Calzaghe fight is planned, and so it should be.

Calzaghe has nothing to gain by fighting anyone else, and as Pavlik is a big middleweight, I would think it would be difficult to disparage him for taking this route.

The depth at 160 is minimal, compared with 168, and I feel there are much bigger fights out there, the likes of Kessler and Bute are certainly a step up from the likes of Andy Lee, John Duddy et al.

One thing I would have liked to have seen was Pavlik vs Wright, to finally boot him off the P4P list permanently, he is like a bad smell.

The big money would be with Calzaghe at 68, and I think its the most interesting matchup style wise.

Ideally Calzaghe, although I get the feeling the fight is only being mooted to keep Roy Jones on the level. TBH anyone would be fine so long as it isn't Duddy, KP may as well step into the ring with DJ Claudio as that hopeless *******.

I can't see Pavlik-Calzaghe happening. I think Calzaghe's camp would be very leary of Pavlik's youth, power and punch output. Abraham is a natural match-up, assuming he beats Miranda. But I think Pavlik wants the big money, celebrity fights. So, it will probaby be a big-name, past-his-prime fighter next: maybe Tito or RJJ.

I would have thought it would be Pavlik's management who would want to keep him away from JC. I think Kelly would be well up for it but his management are afraid of a possible exposure perhaps?

Anyway, I think it wil be Abraham if he beats Miranda.
