I guess that the definitions get a bit blurred at the lower end of the size spectrum.

For example Mickey Walker fought at heavyweight, and had to be outstanding in terms of offensive technique, just to avoid embarrassing himself.

Depends what criteria you're using. Holyfield was a supremely technical heavyweight with an extremely versatile and complete offensive style. Tyson likewise. Michael Moorer had scary precision on shots and almost always kept his punching form even under fire. Wlad was one of the greatest ever heavyweights at controlling distance and could throw a one two about as perfectly as any man on earth. Lots of different guys to choose from.

That is true but he did everything else so damn well that I turned a bit of a blind eye to that.

Liston was a poor mans Louis. Sonny had the power and jab but none of Louis speed, combinations, finesse, defense and boxing ability.

He is the one that immediately popped in my head also. Tyson had a very wide and complete arsenal of punches, could throw with knock out power with any power shot, timing and instincts were impeccable in his prime. Also very fast hands for such a power puncher. Used great combinations. To me, in his prime, he was just as dangerous as J.Louis, if not more so.
