And get himself in the mix with the young guys in the division, i cant see anyone of them beating him at the moment, he can also get marquez 3 at that weight. Some of them have the potential to become hof/atg, so him dominating that division then retiring would be the best decision. And it also suits him the most, he already was pushing his limits at welter so you can imagine he is over his head when trying to fight at middleweight. Except for floyd there is no one left at 147 and cotto 2 im not interested in. Maybe williams or martinez at 147 but i never see bob arum do9ing that.
140 would be the best choice.

I want to see him go for broke and fight the winner of Martinez-Williams that would be more interesting than seeing him against guys that its pretty much a given he would beat fairly easy.

Me too but would you ever think bob arum would take that risk, risking his cashcow against good boxers that bring little money tot he table. It would be way too much risk/low reward for pacquiao. I would love for him to say **** it taking on williams for legacy, but unfortunately boxing is about money and nowadays fights like that dont happen. Marquez 3 at 147 or mosley at 147 is more likely. and i dont even care about that match ups except if it was marquez at 135 or 140

First and foremost, aim for Floyd at 147.

If that fails, hit retirement and focus on politics.

No point going down to 140lbs after the Margarito bout. They have their own bouts to sort out, let them find out who is the best of the young crop.

Pacquiao needs Mayweather after Margarito, or what's the point? Martinez/Williams will not happen.

Why? if floyd doenst want to fight doesnt mean pac must retire, he can still do good things in boxing.

If it’s not Mayweather standing in the opposite corner, I don’t see Pacquiao being motivated. There’s no one in the 135-147 region that’s even a remote threat to him.

I guess I just feel his hunger to fight is slowly waning. But if this wasn’t the case and he still had that fire, then yes, by all means I’d love to see him wipe out the likes of Bradley, Berto etc. But he's at that stage now where his legacy is more or less sealed, and his main desire is to make as much money. The only people that can help him do that are JMM and Mosley, who I'd rather he not face.

    Why would he do that?

No money. The fighters at 140 are hardly known among Casuals. Plus Manny would not have the drive and motivation anymore.

Pointless move, and he'd be losing muscle he'd have gained since moving up, which will weaken him.

    Silly move.

As khan supporter in understand you concern, but they will be known in years to come beating guys like that does wonders for your legacy, we will call it the vitali-effect. And i dont believe that motivation thing for a second you all have been watching too much 24/7, pacquiao is fit, he is no fatboy or something just because he is a politician doesnt mean he doesnt want to box anymore. Even with slightly less hunger he beats most easiliy. He wont be weakened from losing those 8 pounds in the coming 5 months, 140 is more natural to him anyway. I also want to see him beat floyd and then retire. but thats not happening anytime soon so we got to look at other possibilities. I dont want him to retire yet he is only 31, he can still fight 2/3 years. And he brings a lot of attentiona nd excitement to the sport.

Either the fight with Void happens or Dapidran retires.

Not really. Khan would never fight Pacquiao. Freddie confirmed that.

Manny will retire next if he doesn't get to fight Mayweather. His mind-set is in politics.

    I don't think he'll keep fighting.

its really a win win if he wins he is RING middle weight champion of the world and just add on to his legend

if he loses he will not take much flack

like how Robinson tried going up to 175 and failed that didnt really hurt his legacy

I think we all know the real fight is at 168-175 with Allan Green.
