If Shane looks good in the fight, there shouldn't be any excuses. If he looks old/rusty it will be because he is old and may very well be rusty due to inactivity. If this is the case Floyd, rightly, won't get as much credit for beating him.

    All of them answers !!

    He wont get credit.......

He just needs to whoop everyone there is, and then retire... and wait till the dust settles......

    Then he will get credit....

Well, if the fight happens. Congrats to both and definately to Floyd for making it possible. Both Mayweather-Mosley will go down as 2 of the most gifted fighters ever. Mayweather should be able to decision an aging Mosley and get some credit for it. This fight should have taken place years ago. I've always felt that Mosley was the more gifted fighter and I hope he whips Floyd good. Of course, Mosley would have beat him at any weight when he was younger.

Floyd will only get credit if he cleans out the welterweight division. He must fight and defeat Mosley, Pacquiao, Berto at the very least. He should also challenge himself and fight Williams - maybe even Margarito. Also, take a chance and move up another weight class. Hell, Pernell Whitaker won a belt @ 154. Mosley at one point was willing to fight Bernard Hopkins and challenged himself against Forrest and Wright - Floyd would have loss to both of those fighters. He really just needs to step up....what a waste of talent. He could really draw millions more to be boxing if he just continued to fight the best win or lose.

But this is exactly what we wanted from Mayweather. To fight the best and he has not yet. If Floyd beats Mosley- an ATG is on his record. Why couldn't he do this sooner? The fans know who the better fighters are and Mosley is it. If Mayweather beats Mosley it is a huge accomplishment I think, and Mosley is a champion. This is what we wanted all along. Floyd has not fought many great fighters.

That's if PBF beats Mosely. I'll give my response after the fight.

That we didn't understand the severity of Shane's toothache pre fight.

Mosley is past-prime obviously, he is almost 40 and clearly not as good now as he was in 2000, but Floyd will still deserve credit if he wins because Shane is still an excellent fighter at the moment despite his natural decline with age.

This doesn't change the fact that this thread is a fanboy pile of **** though. Grow up.

No one is hating on Mayweather...people just want to see good fights...30 to 40 million dollars staring him in the face and he's worried about drug testing...i wouldn't give a **** with that amount of money on the line...he'll regret this one day...this i promise you
