After Money beats Mosley, Pacquiao and let's say Berto is he top 3 all time great?

It is more like he needs to challenge himself to the max to achieve greatness, push the barrier of where he think he can take himself. For example, if he thinks he have a decent chance to beat even top middleweights then give it a shot regardless of win or lose. If he wins then he earn tremendous amount of credit by doing more than people would expect of him, and if he loses then he would still lose nothing and still get respected for his effort as well as props if he still does well in a losing effort.

So basically what I am trying to say is if you always fight as the favorite then you aren't challenging yourself enough. Push yourself beyond an average days work and constantly push yourself into a higher level which will define greatness. Being passive and fight only where you are really comfortable in victory ain't gonna bring the best out of you.

 

I would give him plenty of credit as I do with those in the top 100 ATGs. But to surpass some of the ATGs then he has to go beyond what they have and these 3 fights just isn't going to do it compared to a couple dozens unique fighters.

As you said about the very bests, they continiously push their limit disregarding their fear of losing and that is the very definition of greatness to me. If you aren't willing test yourself in dangerous water then how the hell people know how far or how great he can get?

Remember the times when people laugh to even think of Pac challenging DLH, Hatton or Cotto? Who would have imagine he has gone so far?

Imagine if Floyd fought Williams, Martinez, Pavlik and such and put on a good performance regardless of win or lose, but especially if he wins then it would boost his status tremendously. Basically I am just disappointed that with all the great talents Floyd has, he is satisfied with picking only those he feels he would have easy victory over.

EDIT: Too many people are satisfied with what they assume Floyd can do because we all see what great assets Floyd possesses. Personally I only consider what is proven as to what really counts, as we know that we aren't always right when it comes to guessing who should beat who or else we all would be filthy rich betting on fights by now.

 

Replace Berto with PW at JMW and he is top 10 easily, no questions asked, with his undefeated record intact of course.

I dont see what beating Berto will do for his legacy, Berto is a WW and both Pac & Shane are way above him in terms of legacy points.

Also its in the manner he beats them. If he utterly destroys Pac, Shane & PW, is there any reason why he cant be ranked above someone like Duran, who is top 5 in many peoples lists?

 

See this is what would impress the hell out of people is if he fought to a point where he would be the underdog and still have a decent chance to win. Williams and Martinez at JMW? Pavlik at MW? Still the favorite, damn Floyd is good. Challenge the winner of the Super Six in SMW? ****, if that doesn't determine ATG then I don't know what does. Dawson even? Do we dare go that far? Anyone doubt he is ATG #1 if he wins all that? Even if he loses to some in the process, will people argue his how amazing he is just to challenge all that? **** man, I would even shoot Pac if he even thinks to take Floyd spot with his resume.
