How can you call yourself #1 by fighting one time in 2008 against a guy you already beat?

Im so sick of Gay Boy Floyd he thinks he's so cool because he was on dancing with the stars. He's a *****!

So after Pac beats JMM, I think Ring Magazine should strip Floyd of his #1 P4P ranking and give it to PAC!!!

Pac is playing catchup with Floyd because he had to play off alot of rematches and tuneups that wasted his time and didnt add to his ranking. Beating JMM would just equal Floyds achievement last year in beating Hatton. Sure if he beats ODLH again, it will probably have the same effect as Pac beating MAB again...suppose thats good for Pac cos if he can beat David & Juan Diaz this year too he will be p4p #1. Better yet, if he does the JMM, David, Hatton plan and pulls it off, there would be no doubt who's #1 but its a longshot.

P4P is always just an opinion to me. I never cared who other people thought was P4P because there is no clear indication. Fans of every fighter can make an arguement, but you can't get certain fighters in the same ring together because of size difference. As fighter of the year, I'd be sure Floyd won't get that if he fights once this year....then again Ring Magazine is owned by Oscar De La Hoya...he can make himself Fighter of the Year every year.

Sorry but PacMan won't be P4P#1 this year.

For that he needs AT LEAST 3 WINS!
    -Marquez in SFW
    -Guzman in SFW/LW
    -Juan Diaz in LW

I can hardly see him winning ALL 3!

Today there's only one legitimate threat to PBF's status, it's the Calzaghe-Hopkins winner (Hopkins is 2nd, Calzaghe is 3rd on my list). But even a clear TKO or wide UD won't make the winner P4P#1 as long as Mayweather is active and he is looking to be back in september.

A good win (TKO) for PacMan can put him on the 2nd place but until april when (if) Calzaghe-Hopkins happens.

Well I've put Calzaghe in my top pound for pound because of how he's defeated his opponents. He easily beat Kessler, who is a good solid boxer...there was nothing wrong with Kessler - Calzaghe was just too good. If he makes the same of Bernard Hopkins then he is #1 IMO. I give JC alot of credit for the way he destroyed Jeff Lacy, who was going into that fight as the future of 168. People may say now that Lacy was limited, but I remember clearly how he was viewed before fighting Calzaghe.

Oh hell No! Don't even! God I'd kill someone :patsch He lost that spot permanently by losing consecutively to Taylor and stuggling with Ronald Wrights ******ed fat cousin Twinky Wright :deal

Can you imagine if Manny were to win all the above three fights this year! That would be an incredible achievement, not to mention a superb year for Manny.

If he were to beat Marquez, Guzman, move up to LW & beat Juan Diaz, then surely, Pacquaio would be a certainty for Fighter of the year 2008!

Paq will beat Marquez, and may seriously challenge Floyd in the hearts of many fans. But even Floyds worst enemies admit he's the best of our era.
You'd think he'd want to fight the monsters like Cotto and Williams, but he seems to be content to become todays version of Roy Jones. Both Roy and Floyd established themselves as something special, but then started to get stingy with their talents . Ego maniacs in denial, Floyd can contend he's the best while avoiding Cotto, at the same time dancing with the stars with Oscar. Roy can continue to claim he won the "heavyweight championship" from Ruiz (gag), with a straight face, and try to convince everyone that beating the shell of Felix Trinidad makes him a player, instead of just played out.

Right, because we didn't just see Pacquiao rematch an aged fighter he already stopped once before.
