DISCLAIMER: i MAY be wrong **** happens in boxing.

clotteys gonna make this a rough and tough dirty fight, he is huge, he will frustrate pac, he fights the same way cotto fought for the first round against pac, but he can do it throughout the 12!

watch pac get angry and frustrated, imo pac will win an ugly ud/sd or even lose, josh clottey is a tricky son of a *****.

after this fight we're gonna see threads titled 'pac is overrated' etc etc

so he will be forced to give 60-40 to shane mosley (after ofcourse mosley beats mayweather).

Floyd keeps winning ugly/boring 90% of the time, his stock is not falling. People like winners, if Pac wins, his stock can only go up.

No i dont think so. More probable is that shane will be in his worst showing ever against floyd!

Arum wanted a Top Rank Only fight, IMO he knew in December he'd back out of the Floyd match-up to make Pac-Clottey: Josh pulled out of his January fight "waiting for an HBO opportunuty", but it was a very suspicious move since HBO doesn't give a flying f*ck what Clottey thinks or wants. He had to knew the opportunity coming. But as logical as this fight is from a business standpoint (Bob Arum getting the guaranteed millions from the Dallas venue, keeping 100% of promotional income without splitting with GBP & Mayweather Promotion), this is not the smartest fight boxing wise. Coming down to the sport and styles, Bob Arum is dumber than our Rico. As you stated, you can hardly look good against Clottey especially as the fans expect a blowout, but what can you do, he's Top Rank and that's good enough from Arum. I actually thought Josh beat Cotto and he deserves a big fight, so I'm cool with this match-up. But I agree: I don't think Pac can look awesome in this, not after what he did to Cotto, the last man to beat Clottey.

Shite analysis. Pac is far, far too fast and clever for a one-dimensional robot like Clottey. Pac will win by TKO after a domination, and he will then be the one in the driving seat for negotiations with the Mosley-Mayweather winner, because that will be a much, much closer and less explosive fight and so the winner (no matter if it's Floyd or Shane) will not be perceived to be on fire the way Pac will be.

Clottey, he has a talent for making you look like crap, then not winning. God, he's frustrating.

Pac may well win, I'll give you that. If mayweather wins I do not think Manny will be asking or recieving 60:40 split at all!

Mayweather vs Mosely will do considerably more than Pac vs Clottey.

not to mention it is percieved as the much better fight and the WW title is on the line. Now I'm not saying PBF will ask for 60:40 as I was suprised he agreed to 50:50 the first time.

But Pac will definately not get 60% from Mayweather, Mosely perhaps but no way Mayweather.

And you know what? I actually, though I like Cotto after following him so long, thought that the Cotto fight was going to be Clottey's coming out party where he finally gets his recognition. I had no idea just how self-defeating his attitude was. By then he'd only lost on a DQ while pretty green to Baldo and lost to Margo. With Tony I thought okay, that wasn't an easy fight, injury, but he held his own. I thought he was really coming along at the right time for that Cotto fight. He really does frustrate me. I wanted to see him have his day.

I dont' think his stock will fall , but I agree Josh is a live dog and will present A LOT of issues for PAC. I think PAc will win, but it won't be easy. PAC has his work cut out for him with this BIG WW.

One thing you can never count out is a fighters hunger ..Look how many times Clottey came so close to winning a major fight .Clotty could very well play spoiler ..The more asnd more people pick Manny to win the more and more the underdog gets a boost !

We see it in every sport ..
