After Pacquaio, who will be the next fighter of the decade?

Oh dear, a complete newb calling multiple poster of the year winner and ESB legend a ''troll'' yet more ad hominem as defence when trying to claw some recognition and counter argument.

First off, Mayweather would never be considered fighter of the decade, all his wins were highly controversial and he is a terrible offensive fighter which is why so many sent people to sleep.
He had a chance to fight the fighter of the decade pacquaio and instead retired to do some doping for a few years. Came back and saw Pacquaio was still a force so dragged an unmotivated flabby Marquez who just wanted a pay day up 2 divisions, failed to make weight after his PED use and beat the worse version of JMM we seen. Pacquaio was still causing him fits so he fought Ortiz and Guererro, 2 gate keepers.... Bradley beat Pac, and then in the midst of this boxing changed with JMM landed his hail mary and Pacquaio was finally beaten after many wars, after aging and slowing....then guess who shows an interest after this?
Mayweathers hands are fine, it's an excuse to get illegal pain killer shots in his hometown, the same way he used IV to mask PED use claiming he was dangerously dehydrated..... i been through every facet of Floyds career and cheating but ultimately even if you remove it all, his resume doesn't match anyway even when you ignore the facts Pacquaio outlanded him, countered him, walked him down and the former flyweight literally bullied him to the point where Snr screamed his son was a coward.
If you want to be educated come to the most feared thread for Floyd fans which is a Floyd fan graveyard atm.

Also Calzaghe was second choice, Hopkins was 3rd.

Does it matter? Pacquiao got KTFO6 then lost to an old Floyd, but Pac is fighter of the decade. That title is worth as much as all the ABC titles these days.

Well, where to start. "All" his wins are highly controversial? That's an exaggeration which doesn't need to be addressed and further proves my claim to you being a troll. Any unbiased individual can look at mayweather's body of work and see that it is far superior to calzaghes. I'd love for you to point me to a respected boxing historian/analyst who would side with you on this and say otherwise. Good luck.

Next, to say mayweather was a "terrible" offensive fighter is only true for probably the last 20% of his career which seems to be when you started watching his fights given your opinions. If you don't believe this then go back and see some of the comparisons people were making, or don't, I don't really care to be honest.

Claiming mayweather as a ped cheat is a bit of a farce as well. Did he fail a test? Show me something which unequivocally proves without a shadow of a doubt that he was a dirty fighter. Unfortunately you won't be able to because all you have is the IV scandal which is about as conclusive as someone saying pacquiao was juicing because he didn't take the test or because his head managed to get bigger. All these claims are obnoxious and are not representative of the view from respected boxing minds. Instead, these are merely claims from the media to stir up controversy.

Finally, mayweather beat pacquiao. This is a fact and many people accept this outside of the dilusional and agenda driven individuals. I'm sure you can give me a small sample size of people who thought PAC won, I think Holyfield is one, but unfortunately for you that is not the concencus of the general population, boxing media, and other professional boxers.

Your whole rant comes off as bitter and is scewed with clear bias and baseless claims. For this reason, I'm done feeding the troll. Anyone with your type of mindset can look at a career and rip it to shreds. Nearly every fight has circumstances which one could point to and say a win for fighter x is less than impressive or is blown out of proportion.

    Only in the
slave class mentality did old Flyweight Pacquaio with 1 arm lose to a prime Mayweather and how many years past his fight of the decade title? not sure what decade you are trying to take from him but it was years removed from his destructive days before the hail mary changed his fighting style and age caught up with him due to all the wars.

Pacquaio did lose to JMM though, the only real loss since his younger days, was a perfect punch from a smashed to pieces 3 time victim, but it does count, amazing JMM could do that really, something a far bigger proper 147lber in Mayweather could never dream of doing.

First off Calzaghe is a white British boxer, both race and nationality automatically put him at an unfair advantage against the American run media corporations who push agendas and money schemes.

If you had bothered to read the thread I linked, I listed not just the obvious IV connection, but the 3 failed tests, the exemption of B samples being tested, the change in his body after the 2 year retirement, the problems making weight for the first and only time ever, the stable mates who got busted for PED use, his best friend 50 cent being a steroid user, his connections with steroid distributors Conte ( who spoke out about Mayweather and suggested the IV issue was a big scam along with his testing with USADA) and of course Heredia who has a big doping history, then throw in his temper, assault of women, paranoia, insanely low test levels in 2 fights, the TUE's etc etc then yes, I think it's very safe to see what he has been up to.

Again I proved that a media liberal agenda pushed the Black American to win over the former Philippino Flyweight, the compubox stats were manipulated beyond a shadow of a doubt, there is replays of videos showing Pac setting traps for Runweather, Runweather throwing, being blocked commentary saying '' great punch from Floyd that landed flush'' and Pacquaio landing a 2 hit combo and them saying '' Pacquaio misses wildly great defensive work from Floyd'' it was completely rigged, right down to the TUE, IV in Floyds house, no legal pain killer for Pac, and ridiculous judge scores.

I could dismantle things further but I created threads and destroyed all Floyd fans that claimed otherwise, but you didnt read the first thread I linked so little point, you have an agenda.

Pac easily beat JMM all 3 times, he was smashing him to pieces in the 4th fight too until the hail mary. One thing for sure, JMM was a lot more convincing than Fluid who claimed '' i will show I am the bigger man, I will walk down and KO Pac'' then he got staggered by a straight left and regressed back to his usual ineffective style.

I sure hope you aren't talking about the lower weights in claiming Floyd is a great offensive fighter? because he isn't at all, he was just physically bigger than most which is why he always tried to keep that advantage against short fighters.

Malnourished? Like when Pac beat Cotto and ODH? Who of the three where more malnourished? I'd say ODH but, of course you're gonna say Dawson, due to the hate you have for Ward! You are a very predictable poster!

Very faulty logic. You make the assumption that because Floyd outpointed a small, halfway shot injured Pacquioa then that makes him the best fighter of his era.

Poor and useless logic. Erik morales beat a prime Pacquiao. Does that alone make him the best fighter of the era? No it does not.

Just butting in, Cotto wasn't malnourished, he said before and after the fight he felt great at the weight this time round and had no problems making it. Oscar though, was a zombie.
But all the more credit to Manny for becoming a Lineal Flyweight World Champion against an ATG Flyweight in terms of H2H ability, in Sasakul, all whilst being a poverty stricken, malnourished kid.

Won't click the link because it's the same regurgitated material that everyone has heard. If mayweather tested positive, it would have been out by now. USADA atm has very little to gain from hiding such a finding in comparison to other revenue streams. It doesn't make sense for them to tarnish their name and lose all other future and existing business for the purpose of protecting mayweather.

Idk why you bring up jmm pacquiao. I don't think I mentioned their fights. They were all pretty good and overall close fights. If you think PAC won them all, aside from the last one, I have no issues with that. And yes PAC was on his way to beating the life out of jmm, but it's boxing, and jmm hit the Hail Mary (which he threw several times during the fight).

Yes I am referring to his lower weight class days. If you diminish his performances due to him being bigger than opponents, which isn't true in all cases but whatever, then you must prop up his achievements against larger opponents.

And to this boxing hates whites arguement, tell me how people view Marciano, Dempsey, pep, greb, fitz.... More recently look at Pavlik (before Hopkins ppl praised him), klitchkos, ggg, froch, Kessler, gatti, ward, Hatton... the list goes on. All the fighters I mentioned were at one time / still are highly respected and touted by the agenda driven media you speak of. Sorry if somehow you feel joe deserved more recognition, but before Jeff lacy, who was overhyped, he only had one good win to his name. After lacy he finally took on guys that bring any merit to your claim that he's some amazing and unbeatable fighter. Bika was ok/good, Kessler was a good win, Hopkins was a good/great win. Unlike you I won't try and spin things and try and discredit those wins. It's never a good sign when your argument to someone's level of greatness revolves more around the tearing down of others accomplishments rather than letting the actual accomplishments of the guy you're vouching for speak for themselves.

Yes, an older just as shot mayweather with hand issues clearly beating pacquiao tells me he was a better fighter than pacquiao. That fight goes down the same way 8/10 times no matter when the fight takes place.

You're also confusing physical/athletic prime to overall prime. During his morales and Barrera days, PAC was pretty raw. He was fast as lightning and hit like a hammer, but his strategy was to simply overwhelm guys with disregard to defense. Fast forward to cotto Hatton and margarito and you'll see an almost as athletic PAC, but one with a much more sound boxing base. That time frame was his prime. Don't be mistaken.

Cotto, Hatton and Margarito are not nearly the quality of fighters as Barrera, Morales and Marquez were. Its easy to look better against the first 3 fighters than the last 3.

Morales already beat prime Pac. Floyd beat a declined pac.

    That doesn't make a career.

Beating Canelo makes you fighter of the decade? No, doing the unexpected does. Golovkin would have to move up, beat some big names he's expected to lose to, to be FOTD.
