I dunno, I reckon you're still in with a chance of knocking out 1 to 3 funny posts before you totally collapse.
Taking multiple big punches from a top class heavyweight before finally getting KO'd/stopped/pulled, usually does a lot more damage as getting knocked out by a single shot very early on in the fight.
And what knockout threat does Povetkin even pose, assuming that he isn't on PEDs anymore? And the bigger punching and bigger sized Joshua can land more effective punches on Price than the smaller and shorter Povetkin, that has to punch upward on a high target which reduces power. I'm not sure Povetkin has the power to hurt David Price as much as you think he could.
Still being by far the best opponent Price has faces thus far and hitting quite a bit harder still as Hammer, old TTT and Teper who already knocked him over. Joshua would KO him in the 1st. It would be as competitive as Joshua vs Cornish. Think again.
David Price can beat Alexander Povetkin. And if he does, he will get to fight Joshua and Joshua will be a far greater risk to his health than Povetkin would probably ever be. So if anybody is concerned for Price's health. Let's hope he doesn't beat Povetkin because Joshua would pose a far greater risk to Price's health if they fight.
If somehow Price wins, Wilder will be thinking oh snap; I could have fought him and built my reputation too. Povetkin TKO inside 6. Here a not so well kept secret. Povetkin if he doesn't look good he increases his chances for a title fight.
I just hope that Price feels that desperation of knowing this is the last of the last chance saloons, just one punch to Povetkins jaw could change his life totally, even if it was a Buster Douglas for one night only event. Price has been handed a incredible opportunity, one he could never have imagined happening with his record, so Mr Price needs to bite down on that gumshield and fight for his future, if he loses it won't alter his win/loss record very much and fight merely ends as predicted, but by a miracle he wins then Price will be in the money in a big way. Go for it Mr Price expel another Russian from our shores, as seems fashionable in recent weeks.
All jokes aside.... I've always liked him. Classy guy out of the ring who I pulled for when he was still a prospect(not as much as some on here) and afterwards when he was exposed. But this is a REALLY bad fight for him, one where I fear for his well-being. BUT..... If he were somehow able to pull it off. What would be the point of retiring and not tempting fate again against AJ? Especially when a massive payday would be there.
yep any boxer would be a fool not to take a Joshua fight even if your 99% sure you lose...once its over your set for life if you manage your money right.
