A TKO is asking a lot I think for Mayweather to do.

You make good points about the pattern fighter. That's my biggest worry about Pac. He's such a rhythm fighter like Mosley that once Mayweather adapts maybe he'll struggle. At the same time, he doesn't have the aggressiveness like a Marquez. Maybe he'll sit down on punches and make Pac think twice. Floyd can't lose in a thinkings game fight. But to win he has to seriously slow down the pace.

    Good points man.

At the same time I think Pac has improved and we need to give him credit for this. It's a true offense vs defense matchup. Cotto couldn't keep it up in their fight. He didn't jab as much after round 1, but he still had trouble timing and boxing Pac. Pac was so in a worry to get Clottey to come out of his shell that he got careless. Those right hands landed, and he can be open for that punch but that fight doesn't illustrate a weakness because I expect him to in complete awareness mood for a fight with Floyd.

Mayweather might punish Manny for a while .Too much technical skill for Manny all his punches will just create too many counter oppurtunities ..

I never said it was. I said Pac isn't as long and doesn't have a DLH jab. But it's still competent. It's not a Mosley flick, and it most importantly will help him blind his unorthodox and from all angle flurries that he WILL follow up on.

it would be no different then every other pbf fight

pac would look good for 2 or 3 rounds

then all of a sudden he is hitting nothing but shoulder, elbow and air while taking clean laser straight rights

This is actually a legitimately strong point that I missed. It will be a mid-range contest for Pac. Similarly to the way Mosley operates. Manny can't compete from long-range and on the inside in clinches he might be at a disadvantage. But in the Cotto fight he did shorten his punches up in the inside range fairly well. Mid-range he is deadly, though. I think an inside fight game is important in a fight against Floyd. It looks good, even if ineffective (DLH fight). Still, I think Pac has enough and can win in the middle range.

No, he can't. He needs to blind Mayweather with so many punches that Mayweather will just get hit eventually. If he gets hit, he'll have to fight and he'll be the one thinking.

I'm not a *******. You made some good points, but I still think Pac has attributes to make it a fight.

    Work-rate
    Stamina
    Top-notch chin
    Better combination hand-speed
    Punches from all angles
    Great foot-speed

Plenty of fighters have had a combination of these things, but none has had the package Pac has.

I can see a very controversial Pac decision if the fight gets made due to tons of Pac punches against effective clean countering by Floyd. That aggressive will win them over, it won them over too much in the DLH fight.

Maybe I should Pac still can beat Floyd. While naturally I expect Floyd to be the favorite this fight is not going to be easy for either man.

Mayweather TKO, just to smart for Pac. Timing will be key for Mayweather.

    :good

Yep. Pac will be too small and weak from a blood draw 15 days earlier. Thread titles will be...

Manny never belonged in the welterweight division.
    Floyd is on steroids.
    The fight was fixed.
    Manny took a dive.
    Manny gassed.
Manny's heart is no longer in boxing.
    Manny is too small.
    Manny is too old.
Manny would have won if _____.

Pac is about taking shots to land some of his own. if Floyd gains Pacs respect with his punches, Floyds gonna win. but i seriously doubt Floyd can do that.

I hope Pac fight JMM first before taking on Floyd.

If Pac solves the counterpunching of JMM, then I will give him a decent chance of beating Floyd.

Otherwise I see Floyd counterpunching Pac to death.

Right now I do not see anything going for Pac against Floyd, except peehaps Pac's feints. I think feinting will somehow partially solve Floyd's incredible reflexes.

The first punch that Pac throws, you would see Floyd step back. Pacquiao would hit nothing but air
