    Agree, 100% man.

Pac reahces with a lot of his shots, and thats a disaster against Floyd.

Late stoppage win for Floyd. All he needs is his jab and straight right hand and it's game over.

Pac better get lucky within 3 rounds or he's in for a painful beating, and this board will lose 40'000 members in one night.

cotto tagged with clean shots as well, so you cant say there isnt a pattern. pac, while his defense has improved, is still open to get it. thats comes with being an offensive fighter. mayweather just happens to be the best coutner puncher in the game, he going to exploit those openings.

You say he's a rhythm fighter but it's incredibly and deceptively hard to get in rhythm against Mayweather.

Nahhh. It's hard for me to believe that Pacquiao can make any effective use of a jab against the bigger more elusive Mayweather. I've never seen a consistent jab from Pacquiao that is aggressive, accurate, and that properly controls distance. He'll need to lunge in to get inside, and I think the result looks something like the Hatton fight - a late TKO. I mean, if Marquez is not the official blueprint for how a skilled orthodox counterpuncher beats Pacquiao than you have it all wrong. Pacquiao is truly great - I take nothing away from him, in fact, I'm a fan - Mayweather is just better...

Yes, the rhythm point is a problem not benefit for Pac.

I don't think most here would call me that. I've been called a hater more so than a *******. Thanks though. I just wanted to get this out there to sort of counter-act the short-term memory that got evoked from this great performance. Remember after Cotto, the same thing was happening but for Pac's sake.

The jab won't be used like DLH did. He can't, he's not DLH. But he'll use it, whether to hit his shoulder or knock him off balance. My logic is mostly it's there to sting Floyd if he gets hit with it, but most importantly it will blind his continued flurried after it. It won't be used in a conventional way. Pac can't do that. Pac's need using it to control distance. It will help measure his man to an extent, but he's going to aggressively go forward after the jab. This will help him "lung in" as you say.

It's like the Dempsey vs Tunney fights. Even though Dempsey is way past his prime he completely abandoned his jab. He needed a jab to help him get inside. If he used it more it would have done him such a great service to make his following attack less predictable, and more difficult to elude from.

Marquez is the blue-print but Mayweather really has to take chances to implement this game-plan. He doesn't go as aggressive. Floyd rolls and plays "defensive" far too much to counter-punch in combination he doesn't work as much offensively like Marquez. Floyd can't drawn Pac's work-rate with counters, he has to fight him eventually. Pac should have some success. I think the thread is that Pac CAN beat Mayweather. There's a good chance that he won't, perhaps.

Yeah against Mosley, after he rendered his offense useless.

Pac has too many weapons for Floyd to push forward and fight aggressive. Too much stamina, too much pep, too much activity. If you think Floyd can fight Pac like that I think you'll be in for a treat.

Yes, Pac's going to be there to challenge Floyd and make it an exciting fight. Both fighters have heart. But Pac will make the fight by moving forward, no doubt.

what you fail to realize is mayweather is the stronger man and will pick his spots to be agressive. thats what he did against mosley. and he was walking mosley down. pac is not as physically strong as mosley or mayweather for that matter. you have to admit, you were suprised at the way mayweather fought that fight. you dont seem to realize that mayweather is unpreditcable in the way he approaches fights.

The thing is, I don't want to disrespect Mosley but they are different. Pac's the energy bunny. He won't get tight, jittery, and burn out a little. And he has more of an offensive arsenal so he won't have his rhythm shut down as easily.

I was surprised, Mayweather was terrific. But I'll be hugely suprised if he can shut-down Pac's work-rate. I just think he can get in and make Floyd fight a bit. Can Floyd just 30-35 punch him a round and control the action? Ah, I don't know. I don't think so. That would have to imply that Pac has been massively hurt, or that Pac just seems so frustrated that he's lost all eager-ness to take chances. Pac will take those chances. And yes, Mayweather surprised the hell out of all us with the way he fought. Do you think he would fight that same way against Pac though?

    After watching Mayweather vs Mosley

I have to say Pac/Mayweather will be a CLOSE Fight

But I know for sure PAC will land a whole lot more leather then Mosley did

But it wont be easy for PAC,i see him gettin banged up a bit

it will be a very narrow win for either fighter
