****... There is no way that Ricky will beat Pretty Void. Yes, I know... you can clown the hell out of me for ever believing. Welcome to the real world Neo. But the fact is, you have to understand I have been blinded by hatred. So I took the blue pill and tried to live confortably in a universe of possibilities and illusions. It happens. I'm human, too. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm still pulling for Hatton to deliver a miracle. Because a miracle is what he is going to need if he is to beat Mayweather. But as I see it now, the only way for Pretty Void to be defeated by Ricky is if Mayweather himself sabotages his own efforts. And I simply don't see that happening in this one or any time soon. Other than that, Ricky's own talents will not carry him far. ****.
No. I think Collazo definatly did more damage but scored on a rd by rd basis it was definatly a fair decision.
:good Thanks man. I needed that. Perhaps I will start believing again, slowly. In any case, should Ricky even draw with Pretty Void, I will be getting so drunk in celebratory mayhem you will have to look for my name in the obituaries. :smoke
Keep them coming boys. I need some re assurance. Ricky took so many awful shots in that fight I was afraid he was going to get decapitated by the end of the bout...
I also felt that if Luis boxed more he would have beaten Ricky but it was like he was stubborn in the fact that he wanted to prove that Hatton wasn't going to run him out of the ring and fought Hatton's fight for the most part. PBF will somewhat expose Ricky's style in this fight in that he needs to fight people that stand infront of him and his lack of a outside boxing game.
I would not judge Ricky purely on that fight in the same way i do not judge Floyd on PBF vs Castillo I
Mayweather is not a southpaw, not a guy who's spend a lot of time at WW like Collazo, and Hatton has had more time to prepare for the move up in weight. I'm not saying Hatton wins, but I wouldn't use the Collazo fight to say he has no chance. He's a live underdog.
OK. I stand corrected. But even if we don't use the Collazo fight as an argument for Hatton's sure defeat, he is still the underdog in this match. We may just have to use another fight to decide why that is so. Either another fight, or a sum of them all. For me, this fight did it simply because I saw Ricky at his most vulnerable. I'm hoping against hope that somehow Mayweather makes the same mistake and under estimates him based on the same bout. Even a talent like Mayweather can be undone by over confidence. Other than that... I don't know. :blood
Hatton won that fight 115-112 or 114-113, but looked absolutely terrible in doing so. I'm sure Hatton wont come in as heavy though and wont be as sluggish. However, one thing to keep in mind: Everything Collazo can do, Mayweather can do a lot better.
and Collazo isnt so easy either. Dude has 26-1 when he fought Hatton. I'm pretty sure he wasn't focusing on 26-2 so he gave it all he has. A fighter with enough determination can give anyone trouble.
