Different jab, different fighter, different fight. It will definitely be an asset for Mayweather because of his speed and accuracy, but Pacquiao and Roach will know the reach behind those straight punches is something they'll have to get around by setting traps and changing the angle constantly with foot placement. Floyd, for all of his technical prowess, is all too often a straight-lined moving fighter when engaging his opponent in range.

Void knows he will get knocked out by Pac. Actions speak better than words. Void likes to beat up women!

Floyd won't win by jabbing a volume puncher who can hit and doesn't gassed out. You don't do pot shot against Pacman.

I have been saying this for over a year. Cotto tried to Slug-it-out with a much faster fighter who was a soutpaw and got battered, bloodied and beaten...ALL NIGHT LONG. Then a funny thing happened along the way....He saw that slugging with "The Pacman" wasn't working so he went to BOXING in the later rounds. Imagine If Cotto was an intelligent fighter with an Intelligent Corner. Then Maybe he would have boxed from the Beginning, and not wait til he got an ass-whooping to take advantages of height, length and reach. Mayweather is not that DUMB (at least in the ring). Floyd will Box and Box and Box and will make it a Boring-Ass Technical fight. Manny will get impatient rush in to force the action....Floyd will Move, Elude and Evade (or what casual fans call Running) all night long while poping that jab. Can he win like this...Who knows?

You do if he jumps in on you. Pac lunges in and out, Floyd will exploit that.

Man, I love these hypothetical match-ups!! How about Floyd against SRL or SRR?

doubtful... manny will throw 3 punches before mayweathers quick as **** jab comes back

marquez showed that pacquiao's weakness is a good counter puncher so im sure floyd will do what he does best.

however mayweather usually takes a while to warm up in a fight and figure hes opponent out he will usually loose the first few rounds against a great fighter (zab judah for example) he plays defensively and start to break them down and then upping the tempo later in the fight - this is floyd mayweather this is how he fights and its how he got to where he is today

however i cannot see this strategy working to well against a fighter like pacquiao. mosley rocked floyd badly in the 2nd round of there fight and i can see pacquiaos flurrys landing alot more on floyd, i doubt very much that floyd would get ko'd early in the fight (if at all) but it could break him down for the later rounds

lets not forget both these fighters have proven that wyhen it comes to the 11th or 12th round they come out fresh as a daisy and simply do not tire that being said mayweather tends to dictate hes fights and lowers the tempo to hes need as where pacquiao can go all night like a lumberjack

im buying pac - mosley purely to listen to the post fight interview with pacquiao so he can hopefully go on live tv and state he has no issues with drug testing and that he wants to fight floyd

as floyd has allready stated in hes latest interview "if he takes the test we got a fight" he dident even mention the 100m rumour so thats a positive for fight fans

i could defenently see a check left hook rocking pac like floyd did with ricky hatton

though pac has shrugged off better shots from alot harder punches

If he maintains his composure after being rocked that is.

he has mainted it against harder hitting fighters.

pacquiao is just mentally exhausting try to get away HES THERE WITH 3 PUNCHES

try to counter one BANG YOU GET HIT WITH 5

that bell rings and your saying a prayer because thats the only break you are getting.

and you know when that bell rings pacquiaos just getting more and more hungry

well at 130 i think Floyd has the slight edge in terms of power, at 140 - 147 well it's a different story.

and ihmo at 147 floyd has enough power to hurt pac.

Yes. And while he avoided total destruction, he still lost rounds 6-12.

The only guys who have given Pacquiao any kind of trouble in the last 10 years (Barrera, Morales, Marquez) were those that fired back. Marquez didn't elegantly counterpunch him, they slugged it out. Same with Morales. And for neither man did the victory (I gave Marquez the second fight) come easy. Both had to go to war.

I think the notion that Floyd can get this victory easily is just ridiculous. If he thought that, the fight would have happenend two years ago. But Floyd himself has a whole lot less confidence than his fans.

It took Floyd 10 rounds to finally get to Hatton, one of the most hitable targets around. Manny almost got there in the 1st. Floyd cleanly hit Marquez and Mosley at will and didn't get them out. But he's surely gonna do it to Manny...
